Hey guys this is my first story, so please go easy on me but don't be afraid to give feedback, enjoy!

Lylah's P.O.V

I walk out of my apartment and into the cold London weather, feeling shivers go down my spine I wrap my jacket tighter around my waist.

The cold is making it's way through my jeans and i'm starting to regret not wearing track pants.

I pick up my pace as I see my favourite coffee shop, Brewed.  I go there every morning, I've kind of made it a ritual for me, and I can't do a day of classes without caffeine circulating in my bloodstream.

As I pull open the door the warm air hits me and makes me relax.

I walk up to the counter and see Amy making somebody's coffee, I've been going here for so long and as it's not a busy place, they don't need a lot of staff. They usual have a few people in the kitchen cooking and one or two people at the front counter.

I usually just get my coffee and sit down for a while but sometimes i'll order something.

 'Lylah, the usual?' Amy asks

'yeah, thanks' I politely smile back and to my usual seat a the back left hand corner of the cafe.

I avoid the table with the window next to it because i'm not a huge fan of people looking at me while having my coffee and reading.

I sit down and pull out my textbook from my bag and try to read through it to make some notes.

I only read one page before my coffee Is placed right in front of me.

I look up to thank Amy but it's not her and instead it's a guy few years older than me that I haven't seen before.

I mouth a small thanks and avoid eye contact, pushing my textbook out the way.

'You're Lylah right?'

My head snaps to him and a small smile tugs at his thin lips, 'uh, yeah, d-do I know you?' I ask feeling uncomfortable.

'No.' He smiles, 'Amy told me about you, she said your our best customer and you come in every morning so I though i'd introduce myself.'

I nod, 'oh, hi. Is this your first day?'

He slightly laughs, his blonde hair starting to fall on his face, 'is it that obvious?'

I smile, 'No, I didn't mean it like that.' I say tucking my hair behind my ear. 'It's just I haven't seen you working here before.'

he pushes his hair back more to the right side, and continues smiling causing little creases beside his eyes which I can't help but notice are a nice colour of blue and grey. They're quite nice...

I snap out my daze and try not to make this awkward. I shuffle in my seat and look down at my coffee smiling, 'it smells good.'

'Oh good, I made it myself.' He proudly smiles, 'with Amy's help of course.'

I slightly chuckle, 'well thank you, i'm it'll be great.'

'You're welcome.' He warmly smiles before walking back to the front counter with Amy.

He must have been in the kitchen when I first came in because  I didn't see him.

He seems really sweet at least...

I shake my head at myself and look back at my textbook, i'm in my second year of university and I don't want to stuff it up by thinking about cute boys with blonde hair.
