I wake up to the obnoxious sound of my alarm, great.

I groan and roll over to turn it off.

After a few minutes of denial, I sit up and make my way to the bathroom. I stand in front of the mirror and examine my face, 'ugh' I say making a face of disgust.

I slightly cringe as I see how big my dark circles are against my pale skin.

I turn on the tap, bring my hands to the water and wash my face, the cold water burning my skin.

I strip off my clothes and jump into the shower, my skin turning red from the hot water; I apply some soap and decide to shave since I haven't in a few days. I don't bother to be careful; I'll be wearing leggings and jeans all week, it's way too cold.

After my shower I wrap my towel around my body and walk over to my closet, going through my closet I finally settle on my black high-waisted skinny jeans, to wear with a white long sleeve shirt and then finish it off with a denim jacket and a black scarf.

I slide on my top then try to put on my jeans, after the occasional wiggle and I go to the mirror and pull out my makeup bag.

I do my makeup every morning, I'm not over the top with it but I feel naked and exposed when I don't wear it. I guess it's just a confidence thing and I certainly don't have the confidence to not wear it.

I just put on some foundation, winged eyeliner and a coat of mascara. Once finished I open the drawer of the vanity and pull out my brush and try to untangle the knot that formed in my hair overnight. After brushing out all the knots I grab my hair tie and pull it back into a ponytail so i don't have to deal with it.

I quickly put on my black ankle boots and make my way  to the kitchen, Mia doesn't have classes till late so she takes that opportunity to sleep in, which is good for her but not for me as I don't get her wonderful cooking in the mornings.

I walk over to the toaster and pop the toast in, while waiting for my breakfast to finish I walk around the house getting all my stuff in my bag.

As I hear the pop of the toaster go off, signalling the toast is ready, I walk over to the fridge and get the jam and the butter and place it on the counter.

I love this kitchen it's small but functional, all the cupboards are white with thin silver handles and the counter is a grey marble. The placement of the kitchen it self is a bit weird as well since it's pretty much right in front of the lounge room and front door but it's only a small apartment I guess.

After spreading the jam on the toast, I put it in my mouth while rinsing my plate and getting my handbag off the dining room table.

I walk out of my apartment and head towards the coffee shop, while eating my toast.

The walk isn't that long, only about ten minutes but I enjoy it. I love breathing in the fresh air and walking past all the nice houses with flowers sprawling out from their metal gates.

There are some lovely houses which one day I'd love to live in but at the moment all my money is for uni, food and rent. I'm pretty broke.

I'd like to go out shopping and stuff but I don't really have the time with all my assignments and work.

Mia seems to be able to do it easily, but I struggle a lot, I'm always stressing and over analysing everything, which gets so exhausting but I can't help it.

I reach the cafe and walk up to the counter; I order the usual and sit in my favourite spot.

I flop in my seat and give in to the fact that I have to read the through this textbook at some point.
