Chapter 6

I just finished work and I'm now walking home, walking along to the beat I mouth the words to Amnesia by 5 Seconds of Summer, they're actually quite good for a boy band that sings pop/rock, Amnesia is probably one of my favourite songs by them.

Just as the songs finishes I open the door to my flat and dump my stuff on the dining table, I check the clock up on the wall the separates the kitchen from the hall and it reads three o'clock. Mia should be home by now, unless she went out for lunch after the movies.

'Mia, you home?' I shout not expecting a reply and I almost jump when I see her walk out of her room from the end of the hall.

'Hey, how was the movie?' I ask as she tousles her dirty blonde hair to the side, I've always liked her hair, it has nice undertones and stops a few centimetres below her shoulders.

'Yeah, it was so funny, you have to see it! How was work?' A smile creeps onto my face.

'You'll never guess what happened' excitement spreads across her face.

'Wait, wait, wait! Let me guess...hmm...You saw Harry at work' she jokes.

'Yeah...' I bite my lip, trying to hold in laughter.

Her eyes widen 'what!?'

 I laugh as I look at her expression, lost for words she tries to speak 'oh my god...what? What happened?! What did he say?!' I laugh as she practical tackles me onto the couch.

I tell her everything that happened, including stuff about our pasts, and Mia is just beaming the whole time.

'I'm so happy for you Lylah! You deserve a nice guy. I need to meet him though so I can approve' she smiles

 'Mia, first of all we're not dating so don't get ahead of yourself, but why don't you come to Brewed with me tomorrow morning?'

 She shakes her head 'no, you two need to get to know each other first then maybe you can invite him around for dinner or something' she suggests and I nod.

'Okay, yeah that sounds good.'

She squeals and I cringe 'then we can go on double dates!'

I smile and shake my head, Mia's dating this guy Matthew but he doesn't go to our collage, he goes to med school, he's actually a really sweet guy.

'So how are you and Matt going?' her cheeks start turning crimson, 'were great, he actually ended up coming today at the last minute.' They are really cute together, they've been together for almost a year, which reminds me, 'When's your anniversary?'

she thinks for a minute before answering 'in two months.'

 I nod and turn on the TV 'do you know what you're going to do?' she shakes her head and snatches the remote off me 'hey!'

She shrugs at me and starts flicking through channels 'what? We both know you're going to end up reading or on your laptop.'

I chuckle 'you're probably right' she nods with a smug smile and I pull out my laptop and decide to go on Tumblr.

I wake up to my alarm going off at full blast I let out a wine and rub my eyes.

 Wanting the noise to stop I turn off my alarm and sit up on my bed, I sit there for a few minutes not looking or thinking anything in particular just listening to the sound of the birds outside my window and my heart beating.

After I snap out of my daze and make my way down the hall to the kitchen, I start to think, do I make breakfast or should I just eat when I'm with harry?...
