Chapter 9

After coming back to home, Neil and Avni were trying to cook food for themselves but both were enjoying each other's cute antics while cooking.

Avni - Neil what will we  eat ? I am starving and we both don't even know how to cook. ( She says cutely.)

Neil - hmmm... let's order something from outside. ( smiles )

Avni - We can order pizza right ? ( her eyes were sparkling.)

Neil smiles seeing her happiness so it wasn't possible for him to deny her choice.

Neil - Okay let me order then.

Avni - please order extra cheesy pizza.

Neil - So that you can gain more weight. ( smirks )

Avni - Haww !! You said that I am fat.

Neil - Any doubt.

Avni chases Neil while he challenges her to catch him. They were running around the house like maniacs but eventually falls on each other as they both slipped while running around sofa. Neil was lying on the couch while Avni was on top of him, they both shared a cute eyelock, Neil tugs a hair strand behind her ear as it was blocking his way to her beautiful face. He leans forward and whispers in her ears.

Neil - ( whispers ) You are perfect just the way you are.

Neil - ( in mind ) And I love you just the way you are. Your imperfection have perfection Avni and I fall for you every second due to your originality and innocence that you carry along with you. I wish I would be able to confess my love soon.

Avni gets up from him and blushes slightly. Neil also gets up and admires her.

Neil - ( in mind ) She looks so cute while blushing.

Neil - I will place  the order, you stay here. I have forgotten my mobile in kitchen.

Avni nods while he left.

After having their dinner, Neil video calls Prakash.

Prakash - How are you Avni and Neil ?

Avni - We are fine but we are missing you. ( smiles ).

Prakash - Even I am missing you guys. I will try to finish my work as soon as possible. You both take care. Okay.

Neil - Don't worry dad we will be fine and you too take care. Good night. ( smiles )

Prakash - Good night.

Avni - Good night. ( smiles ).

With that call ends and Neil places his mobile on the side table. He looks towards her as he knew what she's thinking.

Neil - We will manage today as well like we did yesterday.  ( He assures her )

Avni - Neil it's difficult for me. I am not able to control my body's need for drugs and ends up hurting you...

Neil - Dare you say that again. You know what Avni when you accuse yourself for every reason at that time I feel hurt cos of your behaviour.  So promise me that you will not blame yourself for anything.

Avni - I will try Neil ...

Neil sighs and hold her hand  and kept on caressing it gently. He didn't want to leave her alone as today also she will get hyper due to absence of her dose.

Avni's hands started trembling and her breathes were becoming heavy.

Avni - Neil..... I want ...

Neil - Don't say that Avni. Make your mind strong and say that you don't want your drugs ...

Avni - Neil I can't help ..( tears were forming in her eyes.)

Avni - Neil I want ... drugs .

Neil - Decide one option Avni, You want drugs or your friend Neil ...

Avni - I want dru...no.....N....Neil ( crying bitterly and was shivering badly ).

Neil - Very good say it once more .

Avni - I want drugs...

Neil - No ... say what you said before you want Neil ... right ... say it once more ...

Avni - I want.... N...Ne...Neil ... ( She says with great difficulty )

Neil - Say it once more Avni. You want Neil.

Avni - I want drugs ... please Neil ...

Now she was shivering badly and her voice was trembling, she became cold and tears were brimming from her eyes. Neil hugged her tightly and rubbed her back for calming her. Avni was clinging to him like a baby as if her life depends upon him. She was sobbing loudly in his embrace.

Neil - ( still hugging ) Avni if you will not make your mind strong then you would not be able to overcome your addiction. Try it once.

Avni - I want ... N..Neil .... ( She says while crying ).

Neil - Once more ... ( softly )

Avni - I want ... drug.... no no .. I want... N...Ne.....Neil... ( She speaks with difficulty due to her broken voice.)

Neil breaks the hug and places her head on his lap and caress her hairs gently.

Neil - What is more important to you our relation or drugs ?

Avni was still shivering...

Avni - You..

Neil - Say it Avni ...say This, our relation  is more important ...

Avni - Our..... our ..... ( trembling ).

Neil - Who is important to you ?

Avni - Neil....

Neil - With whom your happiness lies ?

Avni - Neil... ( crying )

Neil - Avni tell me what is important our relation or drugs ?

Avni - Our relation ... ( tears rolls down from her eyes)

Avni - Neil is important .... ( crying )

Neil smiles at her and kisses her forehead gently...

Avni - H....h.....h...hug ..... me.... ple....ase..... ( stammering )

Neil lies down on the bed and hugs her tenderly. She clutches him tightly while he kept on rubbing her back for composing her ...

Avni - ( while crying ) Neil is important .... Not drugs ....

Neil eyes welled up with tears after listening her. He breaks the hug and cups her face. They both were lying on the bed..

Neil - I am more important ? ( teary eyes )

Avni - You.... ar....are .... mo...s.....t important.

Neil joins his forehead against her and after sometime she calms down and drifts into sleep. She hold him tightly and he places her head on his chest and hold her protectively from her waist.

Neil - ( in mind ) The day I will free you from your inner demons I will confess my love Avni. I will tie you with me forever so that no one dare to hurt you. I will fill your life with love and happiness. I promise.

He admires her and soon sleep take over him.
