Chapter 11

Neil reverts the call.

Neil - Finally you called back dad, you know from how many  times  I was trying to contact you. How are you ? When will you come back ? ( He said in one go.)

Prakash - Chill tillu, chill. You are acting as if you want to catch some train and are running out of time. I am fine. I will come back tomorrow. How are you and Avni ? Where is she ?

Neil - We both are okay dad. Avni is taking her long hot shower after her brisk workout session.

Prakash - That means you are torturing my daughter in my absence.

Neil chuckles.

Neil - well if my torture can do something good for her then I am ready to become Hitler. By the way your daughter is very obedient student. I must say.

Prakash - I know that my Avni is very obedient to those who showers their love and respect on her and you are one of them.

Neil smiles.

Neil - I want to ask you something.

Prakash - Go ahead.

Neil - Actually I want recipe of Poha that you cooked for Avni.

Prakash - Oh !! By the way you seemed to be changed person now. ( teasingly)

Neil - What do you mean ?

Prakash - Ho gya hai tujko toh pyaar saajna... ( he tease Neil by singing this song.)

Neil blushes.

Neil - Dad .... ( blushes )

Prakash - Don't blush now.

Neil - How did you know ?

Prakash - If a dad will not understand his son's feeling then who will understand him.

Neil - You are right dad. I don't know how this happened but I just love her.

Prakash - And what about her ?

Neil - She's fighting her inner battle at this moment when she will win over her insecurities, I will tell her about my feelings. I know that she will overcome all her insecurities. I trust her willpower.

Prakash - Neil Avni is best for you. You are still unfamiliar with her behaviour but with time you would  be able to know her well.

Neil smiles.

Prakash - Now let's start with your cooking. Follow my instructions.

Neil - I am ready.

Finally he was able to cook poha for Avni or we can say his Avni.

Soon Avni joined him on dining table and he brought poha and juice for her. Her eyes were sparkling with joy after seeing her favourite delicacy in front of her.

Avni - Poha. I love it ... ( excited ).

Neil - Then have it. What are you waiting for ? ( smiles ).

Avni took first morsel and was amazed with the taste.

Avni - You made it ? ( shocked )

Neil - Yes, is it not good ?

Avni - No, it's amazing ... thank you for this amazing poha.

Neil smiles and they finished their breakfast.

Neil - So are you ready for making your next painting today as we have to go to another shopkeeper for returning his  money.

Avni nods. She left for making painting, Neil also went to his room as he was working through home and at this moment he don't want to disturb Avni as she was connecting with her innerself so he kept himself busy in his work. Finally evening came and he was waiting eagerly for this time as he was craving to see her. So he prepared coffee for both of them and went to her room. When he entered, he saw that she have completed her painting and today also her hands were covered with black paint.

Neil - ( in mind ) I will soon fill colours in your life Avni, I promise.

Avni saw him and he forwarded one mug to her. She took it smilingly and Neil came forward for having a look at her painting. He was shocked as she have again created the same painting, a girl was sitting with her head in her hands  surrounded with darkness and was tied in chains, a ray of light was passing through the small hole but there was a slight difference this time. The ray of light was more clear. If we compare her previous painting with this one, we can spot out the difference between the two. In first painting ray of light wasn't that much clear which  reflected that she is having very little hopes but in her next painting the ray of light was more clear which clearly reflected that her hopes have increased now, all Thanks to Neil and his love towards her. Neil smiles and his eyes were filled with fresh tears, he kept her painting aside and spread  his arms for her, asking her to come in his warm embrace. She hugged him very tightly as if she was feeling comfortable and wanted when he was near her.

He caressed her hairs gently with his eyes closed as he was feeling her and she clutched him very tightly with eyes closed and her head resting on his chest.

After sometime they broke the hug, though no-one wanted to do so but they have to leave for meeting the  shopkeeper.

The shopkeeper forgave her and she was very overwhelmed.

Avni - ( in mind ) After dad, I thought that only Prakash uncle can understand  me like my dad did but I  was wrong Neil. You are the reflection of Prakash uncle and you have given me a hope that I would be able to forget my bitter past. Neil you are very special for me, I wish you get whatever you want.

She was smiling in tears after shopkeeper left leaving avneil alone. Neil wipes her tears.

Neil - When you smile you look an adorable munchkin so please give me my adorable munchkin. ( He pleaded with puppy dog eyes. )

Avni smiles and Neil clicks her photograph. Then showed it to her.

Neil - See how cute you look. ( smiles ).

Avni smiles again at his cute gestures and they both left  for home.

While driving some thoughts were surrounding Avni's mind.

Avni - Neil, I want to go somewhere. Can you ... ( Neil cuts her off )

Neil - Where you want to go ?
