Chapter 17

Neil's  pov

When you came into my life, I felt as if my missing part who was separated from me during my birth came back into my life, thus completing me.

I never realised when I fall for you, when your happiness became my happiness, your tears became my sorrows.

I wanted to free you from the walls that you have build around yourself but I failed. I failed Avni. I am really very sorry.( crying ).

I know that our life is not that simple, our story is not normal but I want to store this precious gem in my secure arms forever.

I want to love you, want to heal you but our Destiny always plays nasty games with us.

In the hell of emotions,
There's a heaven of pleasure.

In the depth of ocean,
There's a baseless hope.

In the battle of life,
There's a joyful survival.

But in paradise of love,
Two worlds collide,

No expectations, restrictions and survival.

When Neil met Avni for the first time she was a wandering soul who wasn't having any home, she was tied with chains that were restricting her movement towards the right path. She was lonely, she wanted her home but she was lying on those lanes broken inside where she wasn't having any hope. Neil helped her in escaping that place and she felt some unusual pleasure in his company and Neil was ready to give anything for making her feel good.

Hope, this was something that Avni never learnt and Neil helped her in believing this word.

Everyone may term her as victim of Destiny but Neil always term her as survivor in fact winner.

He loved her, she loved him. Their world collided. He was thinking about her and their upcoming life whereas she was thinking about pushing him away  from her for his peaceful life. He wanted her with his heart and soul but she wanted to leave him for his happiness. He was going with flow but she was increasing her insecurities.

He only gave her unconditional love and didn't expect anything in return while she wanted to give him every little thing that is the reason of his smile but didn't want him to love her just the way she does as it will create havoc in his life. He didn't want to restrict himself from loving her but she wanted to bury herself in the concrete walls for hiding her love from him.

They both loved each other unconditionally. Their souls were already connected, their hearts were connected but her mind was going in the wrong direction. He would have guided her mind in right direction  as he always do but he wasn't aware of her feelings towards him.

Now when life have again pushed her over the edge of darkness then how his love will bloom her stronger side ?

At hospital.

Avni was taken for her treatment while Neil and Prakash were waiting outside hoping that she will be fine.

Neil was in his own land where he was going through different shades of emotions, at one time he was smiling while thinking about her cute antics but a mere thought of her sufferings and recent incident makes him numb. He was sad as he can't see her in this condition, he was frustrated and angry on himself as he wasn't able to save her. He was crying while praying to almighty for keeping his life safe.

Prakash on the other side was fed up. He was fed up of becoming strong for his children. He wanted to cry as his daughter was suffering badly but at the same time he didn't loose hopes and became strong for handling Neil who was sitting there in a broken state. A shade of Neil that he never witnessed before.

He goes to Neil and place his hand on his shoulder in order to assure him that Avni will be fine. Neil looked into his eyes as if finding some hope that he needs the most at this time.

Neil- She will be fine. Right dad ? ( choked voice )

Prakash - Your love will win this time as well.

Neil hugged him tightly and cried his heart out, Prakash was broken after seeing his break down.

Prakash - Stay strong Neil.

Neil - I am tired dad.

He breaks the hug and made Neil drink some water in order to calm him.

After sometime doctor came and they both ran towards him.

Neil - Doctor how is she ? ( impatiently ).

Doctor - Your relation with the patient ?

Neil - I am her fri.... husband. I am her husband. ( pride in his voice )

Prakash was shocked at his confession. His eyes were filled with tears but a smile was adoring his face as he can't believe that his son have grown up with his preachings. Neil asked him an innocent question in the childhood, "What is marriage dad ?" To which he replied,"Marriage is  that precious thread which binds two people. It shapes your life in such a way that you want to prioritise their happiness at every phase." To which Neil replied, "So all the rituals that are performed in wedding connects two people with that thread." His innocent  reply made Prakash chuckled. Prakash cleared his doubt, " No beta ( son). The two people are connected with each other through their heart and soul, these wedding rituals and all are mere formalities that are made by us."

His heart was connected with her, his soul was connected with her. Neil wanted to name their relation in the purest form so he named her as his wife. 

Doctor - Well Mr. Khanna your wife have lost a lot of blood.

Neil - What ? But her head injury wasn't that much severe I guess and I have provided her proper first aid before bringing her here.

Doctor - Mr. Khanna there are alot of bruises on her body. They all are fresh wounds. It seems like someone or maybe she have harmed herself with some sharpe object.

Neil and Prakash felt as if they are hallucinating. Their Avni is fine and she will break their trance very soon. Alas !! It was the bitter reality of their life. They both weren't able to believe doctor's words.

Neil - Avni tried to harm herself. ( teary eyes ).

Prakash- But why ? ( teary eyes )..
