Chapter 19

In police station

Neil enters police station and DD comes to him.

DD - Sir, Dayavanti's bodyguard is locked in jail.

Neil nods and goes towards his cell.

Neil - ( to the constables present around his cell) you all go from here. I don't want anyone else here other than DD and make sure that no outsider come between my investigation.

He opens the lock of his cell and came  inside. Neil's face was depicting the most dangerous form of anger and frustration. When he saw bodyguard's face his eyes became bloodshot red as his face made him remember Avni's condition, the way they both behaved with her and tortured her and she punished herself and is lying on the hospital bed all broken and unconscious.

Bodyguard - Why the hell you guys arrested me ? What I did ? ( He yells at them ).

Neil loses his control and throws a chair in his direction  but he dodges it.

Now bodyguard was scared after watching his intense anger while Neil was shooting daggers at him.

Neil - You want to know what you did ?

He was coming towards him while he was taking steps back in fear.

Bodyguard- What I did ? ( scared )

Neil - You played with my life.

Bodyguard - What ?

Neil - DD show him the video.

DD shows him the video and now his fear increased.

Neil- Now also you want some proof. ( gritted his teeth in anger )

Bodyguard - Sir, Dayavanti mam asked me to do so. ( shivering )

Neil - And you followed her order and you both tortured my girl. ( anger ).

Bodyguard - Sir ....

Before he can say anything, Neil punched his face harshly, the bodyguard fell on the floor. Neil make him stand and start beating him mercilessly. Bodyguard was pleading him to stop but all his words were falling in deaf ears.

Neil - How dare you bastard ? How dare you to  touch my Avni ? ( while beating him.)

Bodyguard - Sir, I didn't rape her . ( wincing in pain ).

After hearing these words Neil's anger crossed all the limits.

Neil banged his ( bodyguard )  head against the wall and his head was bleeding badly.

Neil - That's why you are still  alive  but that doesn't mean your punishment is over. ( Neil says sternly )

Neil - DD give him proper treatment cos after few days he will get his 2nd dose.

Neil left him and went out. He called Prakash.

Neil - ( on call ) How is Avni dad ?

Prakash - She have gained consciousness. I am going to meet her. You also come to hospital.

Neil - No dad, I won't come.

Prakash - Why Neil ? I know you are angry with her but that doesn't mean... ( Neil cuts him off ).

Neil - I will meet her dad but not now. Right now I am out of control, my brain have messed up so if I will meet her right now, then maybe my words will hurt her so I need some time for composing myself.

Prakash -  Take your own time Neil.

Neil - Keep me updated about her condition dad.

Prakash - Okay. Take care.
