~ Nicole ~

"It's been a while, Nicole." Dr Lance acknowledged as she wrote something in her notebook. I always wondered if they really write something there or just draw their patients or comics...

"Yes it has been indeed. And I haven't missed you one bit. No offence."

"None taken. Who likes to see their therapist?" She chukled a bit and looked deeply into my eyes. Idina Lance. She always had that fliratious look and a bitchy attitude. Still that didn't make her a bad doctor.

It's been a few days since I came out of the hospital. While I was in there, everyone came to visit, even James and his wife. My parents flew right over, seeing everything on the news. I was really happy to see all of them. Diane never left my side. But now that I'm going back to my therapies I won't be able to work for her. That and the fact that my wound hasn't healed yet.

"How have you been?" Dr Lance continued.

"Well, as you know, I met a girl." I smiled just remembering her face. "And I got stabbed after a while, so my PTSD is back." I must've continued harshly since she frowned after my statement. "And also, I dreamt about Fiona after the first time I slept with Diane."

"You probably should've started with that." She wrote on her notebook again. "Why didn't you come to me after that happened?"

"Well, there weren't any side effects so to say, I thought there was no need for coming."

She shook her head. "What did you dream about?"

"The crash."

"Does Diane know about that?"

"Yes. And she didn't say anything, just that she felt bad."

"And how do you feel about her knowing about your past?"

"I love her. I don't think there's anything wrong about it. The fact that she was so supportive makes it al bett... Aaarghh!!! I yelped in pain from my wound.

Dr Lance jumped from her seat and came closer. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, this happens sometimes... I just gotta bare it."

"Are you sure? Maybe we should go into the emergency room..." She was obviously concerned.

"No need, it's better now."

"Okay." She returned to her seat. "You'll probably disagree, but I think you shouldn't see Diane for a while."

"What?! Why not?!" She did not just suggest that.

"Because, Nicole, even you know how bad your PTSD can become. Don't you remember what happened to poor Michelle?" She was right, I hate it. Michelle was a one night stand I had a few months after Fiona. I punched her in my sleep when she turned around to hug me. I continued punching... Luckily, she managed to wake me up fast with her screaming so I stopped. My therapies were doubled after, and I haven't heard from Michelle since then.

"How long?"

"I'm thinking two weeks so I can follow your emotions in therapies and after, you can call Diane and if anything happens while you're together, we'll decide what to do next."

"So this is basically a rehab from Diane?"

"Well... okay, kind of, but no. I just want to see if it's safe for her to be with you at this time."

"Argh, fine."

These two weeks are gonna be hell.

"Do you want to call Diane and tell her right away or...?

Shit.
