Kimmon's POV

I woke up feeling lighthearted for two reasons.  First reason was that I had just awakened from the most beautiful and wonderful dream I ever had in my entire life.  The second reason was that I had awakened with the realization that today was a free day from any promo shoots or fan meets or any other activity scheduled by our agency.

I looked at the time on my phone.  It was a little past eleven.  I'm sure Cop would be awake by now.  I am going to invite him for lunch and a movie date afterwards.  And then if he agrees I'm gonna bring him to my place and I can cook dinner for him and maybe engage in some other pleasurable activity after that heh heh.

But first I wanted to recall my dream. I remembered it all very clearly.  Cop and I were holding hands while walking down a pathway in a forest.  There was a giant rainbow in the sky.  It looked so close to us that I felt that if I stood on tiptoe I could touch it.  We continued walking down the pathway, towards a man garbed in an electric blue gown designed like that of a court judge.  His arms were outstretched towards us.  When we reached him, he lightly placed one hand on my head, and the other on Copter's head.

"I pronounce you partners for life," he intoned in a solemn voice.  "You may now kiss each other."

We kissed lovingly at first, then it turned into a passionate kiss.

"You can continue kissing in the privacy of your home," he said with a naughty wink.

Then just like that my dream ended.  How I wished that it just went on and on and on.

I picked up my phone and tapped on Copter's number.  I wondered if he was still asleep, the lazybones, because he was not picking up my call.  It's almost noon, why is he not yet awake? Should I try calling his mom?  I tried calling Copter again.  When he still did not answer, I decided to call his mom instead.

"Hi, mom,"  I said, "I'm sorry to bother you but I was wondering if Cop was still asleep.  I tried calling him earlier but he's not answering his phone."

"Oh," his mom said, "his manager picked him up early this morning.  He said that something had come up but his manager wouldn't tell him on the phone."

"Okay, thank you, mom,"  I said in as calm a voice as I could manage.  My worst fears had materialized.

I debated whether I should call our manager.  Would it annoy him if they were in the middle of signing a contract with Nanon's agency.  Was I just thinking irrationally?  Maybe Cop was brought to our manager's office for a different reason.  Please let it be for a different reason, please, please, please, I prayed to all the deities that could possibly hear me.

I debated for a long time whether to call our manager or not.  I knew I couldn't live through the day without knowing, so I threw caution to the wind.  I searched for our manager's personal contact number and tapped on it.

"Hey, Kimmon, what's up, buddy?"  he asked in a happy and excited voice like he had just hit the jackpot.

"I was just wondering if Cop was with you because his mom told me that you picked him up early this morning," I said with a sinking heart.

"Oh, he just left the office," he informed me, "and actually I wasn't the one who picked him up.  It was Nanon's manager who did.  Nanon's manager and Nanon himself had this bright idea of teaming up with Copter to promote this new brand of soda to their newly formed fans."

I looked around for some imaginary giant gauze to mop up the imaginary blood that was  dripping from my heart.  No, my heart was not bleeding...it was hemorrhaging.
