Carl Grimes's life was great. He had both parents, a ton of friends, and a great role model. His dad was a sheriff at the King's County Police Department, while his mom was a stay at home mother. His role model just so happened to be his dad's best...

Emily's POV
I stepped closer and when I did, I saw what she was a holding. It was a pregnancy test. And when I looked closer I saw the two little lines.
"Lori?" I suddenly spoke, my voice shaking. The sniffling woman jumped from squatting position and turned to look at me. The tears were evident on her face. "You're pregnant?"

"Emily.." the woman, who has become like a mother to me, uttered. Her chocolate eyes were wide as she stared at me in shock. "Em, what are you doing here? You should be back at the RV sleeping. Here, come on. I'll walk."
She wiped her small tears and began to usher me back to where I came from. But I pulled my arm from her and stood in my place. "You-you're pregnant.." I said, disbelievingly. I couldn't wrap my head around it.
If the world was the same as before I'd be ecstatic, but the world has changed. A baby could put us all in danger. If something happens to this farm, every cry would would be a dinner bell for the walkers. We can't just take Lori to deliver the baby in a hospital either. This baby could risk everything.
She stared at me, probably wondering what I would do. I had never acted like this in front of her. The last time I was completely devastated like this was when I lost my mom. It was the same worry in my veins that coursed through them the same night I stayed up all night as I waited for to come home, but she never did.
I let the built up tears flow as I hugged Lori. Shocked, she dropped her test and held me in her arms. I could feel her lay her cheek on top of my head. She kept whispering how everything would be okay. When the tears stopped, I pulled away from her and wiped my face.
Lori knelt down to my height and grabbed my arms, so I would pay attention to her. "Everything will be fine, okay?"
I nodded. "I just have one question, Lori. Is the baby Rick's or is it my dad's?" I guess my question hit a nerve because she turned as white as a ghost.
"Y-you know?" She choked on her own words. I nodded slowly, unsure if I should. "How do you know? Did he tell you?"
"No ma'am. I had a nightmare one night at the camp outside of Atlanta, so I went to see if I could sleep with my dad, but he started talking in his sleep saying your name and other disgusting things." I explained, shivering in disgust at the memory and at the cool breeze.
"Oh, Emily. Promise me that you won't say anything to anyone about this. Especially not Rick or Shane." She begged. I nodded my head. "Not even Carl."
I paled. I always told Carl everything. All except for what Alexander would do when he wasn't at school.
"Emily." Lori said, sternly to get me to focus. I nodded my head.
