Chapter 23

Marlene POV

I start to hear voices around me. I must be awake. But I keep my eyes closed and listen to the conversation going on around me.

"This is all my fault." I hear someone whimper. I recognize that voice from almost anywhere. It belongs to my ex, Uriah. But he hates me. Why is he here?

"Yeah, it kind of is." Another voice says. The same voice that picked me up and carried me to where ever I am.

"Shut up." Uriah spits at him.

I can already sense a cat fight coming on. So I open my eyes slowly, allowing them to adjust to the light.

"Marlene!" Uriah screeches as his eyes widen. He shoots up from the chair and runs to my bedside pulling me into a hug.

"Marlene, I'm so so so sorry." He sniffles. "Please forgive me?" He whispers into my hair.

He pulls back and looks at me with pleading eyes. I smile sadly. I wish I could forgive him. But I can't, never again.

Lucas POV

"Shut up!" Uriah spits at me. He gives me a glare and I throw my hands up in surrender.

I really don't understand why he's here. I heard he broke Mar's heart. Not only that, but he's wearing a onesie. Real mature Uriah.

Marlene opens her eyes and squints in our direction. Uriah shoots up and runs to Marlene's side, engulfing her in a hug and whispering things to her softly. She pulls back with a slight frown. She's so cute.

I haven't realized I liked her until now. She's beautiful. And I know exactly how to make her mine.

Sorry i haven't updated omg its been forever. I've been super busy and im going on another vacation next week so hopefully i will find some time to write!😁
