Tris POV

Marlene was rushed to the infirmary and everyone is now sitting at the table in silence.

"Truth or dare?" Zeke asks no one in particular, wiggling his eyebrows.

"No!" Lynn says sternly.

"Why not?" Zeke asks shocked.

"Because, I don't feel like it." She spits at him while sending him a glare.

"Pansycake." He mutters.

Lynn looks at him angrily.

"What did you say?" She says through clenched teeth.

"I SAI-" Zeke gets cut off when Shauna yells.

"ENOUGH!" Lynn and Zeke turn in Shauna's direction.

"What is with you Lynn? Your changing so much! So get mad all the time and you are so distant! This is the first time you've hung out with us in months and your acting like a jerk!" Shauna says with teary eyes. "What happened to my baby sister?"

Lynn glares at her sister.

"Bye." Lynn says. She picks up her jacket and runs out the cafeteria door before anyone can stop her. Shauna picks up her tray and throws it into the garbage forcefully. She then picks up her jacket and is about to leave when Zeke grabs her forearm.

"Babe, where are you going?" He asks.

"Home." She says. She tries to wiggle out of his grip but it's no use.

"Let me go!" She says.

"I'm coming with you." He says. He grabs his jacket and waves goodbye.

Christina, Will, Tobias and I are the only ones left.

"Well," Christina sighs breaking the silence. "You guys wanna go shopping?" She asks.

"Oh no! Nononononono! No!" Will says.

"Why? C'mon pleaaase!" Christina says, wrapping her arms around Will's arm and giving him puppy eyes.

"Christina you're pregnant, maybe you should rest." I suggest. She should rest, but I really said that just so she doesn't drag Will to all the baby shops they have here.

"But I need to buy some clothes for my baby! If our baby is going to be #1 in the fashion world, it can't just wear the clothes, it has to observe it's mother shopping for it from inside the womb! DUH!" She states as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. Will rolls his eyes. Tobias and I are sitting so close together that I can feel him chuckle on my side, and I can't help but giggle.

"Yeah. No." Will says. "I want our baby to be a badass dauntless, not some lame person who drops to their knees and sobs when they break a nail." He says.

"HEY! I DID THAT ONE TIME!" Christina defends.

Christina and Will begin to argue over baby clothes and I tune out because, well, I really don't care. I stare off into space, shutting out everything around me, until Tobias nudges me with his elbow. I turn and he whispers in my ear.

"Let's go for a walk, they'll never notice we're gone." He says. I nod and we get up quietly heading out the door.

We go down to the chasm, hand in hand, and sit on a rock. The same rock we always sit on. Our rock.

Then I remember something that sickens me. Abnegation. I saw his father without telling him. I have to tell him. But how? He might think I purposely meant to see his father. He could get up and walk away. I may never talk to him again. I take a deep breathe.

"Tobias, I need to tell you something." I say.

He scoots closer to me and puts an arm around me.

"What is it?" He asks sweetly.

"Well when I went to Abnegation, I sorta, kinda, saw Marcus." I say shakily.

Tobias looks at me blankly. He removes his arm and just stares at me.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He says with no emotion in his voice.

"Well I-"

"What did you tell him."

"I-"

"Is that the real reason you went to Abnegation?"

"No I-"

"Did you lie to me?"

"SHUT UP FOUR!" I scream.

"You know my name Tris." He growls. I close my eyes and breathe in.

"Just let me explain." I say breathing out. He doesn't take his stare off me. I take a deep breathe and begin.

"So, I went to Abnegation because I wanted my parents to be at our wedding. Obviously. You knew that. But anyway, when I went inside my parent's house, Marcus was at the table with my father. He didn't say anything to me, and I didn't say anything to him I swear!" I say.

"Did he see the ring?" Tobias asks.

"I-I really don't know." I say. Tobias relaxes, but still looks worried.

"You didn't tell you dad about the wedding in front of Marcus, did you?" He asks.

"Of course not! I'm no Erudite, but I'm not THAT stupid, Tobias." I say furrowing my eyebrows.

He studies me for what seems like forever, debating weather to trust me or not. I think my reason was pretty reasonable, and I wasn't lying. So what's keeping him from believing me?

"Alright." He sighs. "I believe you." He puts his arm around me again, and we stay silent for who knows how long.
