Tris POV

*at the reception in the cafeteria*

Tobias and I just had our first dance and we are now sitting at our table, eating. Tobias keeps turning his head and looking in another direction.

"Tobias? Are you ok?" I ask. He immediately turns to me.

"Why is he here?" He asks sternly.

"Who?"

Tobias points to a group of people which consists of my father, Marcus and my mother. I bite my lip and my hands start to shake.

"I don't know." I shrug. Tobias looks at me.

"Alright, go stall your parents while I go talk to him." Tobias says getting up.

"Wait Tobias," I say grabbing his arm, "do we really have to worry about this right now? It's supposed to be our night."

"I'm sorry Tris," Tobias says sitting back down, "I just can't be happy with that bastard here." He says.

I kiss his cheek and say "Yes you can, I believe it." He smiles and pulls me up from my seat. We go over to the dance floor and dance to a slow song together.

After the song is over, I pull Tobias over to where my brother sits with Cara and the same baby in his arms.

Tobias nudges me in my side as we walk over.

"Who's the baby?" He asks.

I chuckle, "no idea." He smiles and laces his fingers with mine.

"Hey Caleb!" I say as we approach them.

"Beatrice!" He replies while getting up.

We stand there awkwardly until Tobias says,

"Who's the baby?"

I lightly smack his arm.

"This, is Jonathan." Caleb says.

"Is it yours?" Tobias asks.

"Um, yes. He is mine." Caleb replies with an eyebrow raised.

"I didn't know you had a baby Caleb." I say.

"Yeah, this little guy arrived about 13 months after the wedding." He rocks the baby slightly and I suddenly feel like crying when I see Cara approaching. She comes next to him and kisses him.

"Wedding?" I ask.

"Yeah."

"Ok, well nice seeing you, Caleb." I grab Tobias's arm and pull him away trying to force back tears.

"Hey, hey whats wrong?" He asks stopping and putting his hand on my cheek.

"He had a wedding Tobias," I say sniffling. "And a baby, and I was never brought into any of these events in his life, but he was included in mine."

"Well, the factions make it harder." He says sadly.

"Don't make excuses for him Tobias.

He seemed to make it here without an issue." I reply. Tobias whipes the tears from my eyes.

"This is our night Tris. Lets make the most of it." He offers me his hand and I take it as he leads me back out onto the dance floor with him.
