Chapter 27

Tris POV

It's the night before the wedding and Christina has been planning the whole thing. She's been acting quite shady lately so I'm a little nervous at what she has done. She told Tobias and I that she would let us see it tonight however, Tobias is working in the control room, so I will meet him and Christina at the chasm, where the wedding is.

I pull on my jacket and step into the hall, heading towards the chasm. I'm a little early, but I mean't to be. If Christina gave us a pink wedding, I swear I will strangle her. And then I will have to rip everything down before Tobias gets there. I feel like I'm overthinking this, but let's get real here. It's Christina.

I arrive at the hall just before you enter the chasm and see Christina standing there with a clipboard.

"Hey Chrissy!" I say cheerful but nervously. Her fave lightens up and she smiles real big.

"Are you waiting for Four?" She asks.

"Um, no. I want to see it first to make sure it's not pink." I say. She rolls her eyes and leads me down to the chasm.

We enter and she says "to-daaaa!" While smiling. My jaw drops along with my stomach. Oh no.

Above the railing against the rock wall, hangs a huge Abnegation symbol with a Dauntless symbol. The theme is black and gray. And there are little tiny place cards with Abnegation Symbols printed on them. All I do is panic.

"Well??" Chris asks? I barley pay attention to her though, all that runs through my mind is the look of anger that will appear on Tobias's face when he sees this. He may not want to even marry me if he sees that his past is now going to haunt not only his life, but his wedding! I sniffle and feel tears run down my face.

"Hey Tris? Whoa Tris are you alright?" Christina asks, I turn to her.

"Christina we have to take this down right now." I say sternly. She looks confused but I don't have time to explain.

"Quickly!" I almost yell. "Before he gets here!" I say gesturing to the Abnegation place cards. She seems to get the message and together we run around frantically throwing any signs of Abnegation over the railing, and into the water.

"He doesn't like to remember his past!" I say while throwing the next pile of cards into the water.

"Yeah I think i've picked up on that." Christina says out of breathe. She puts her hands on her knees and breathes heavily. I almost forgot Christina is pregnant and looks like she swallowed a watermelon.

We finally finished and stand back to admire our work.

"I'm too tired to do anymore," Christina pants, "so i'll just have some weirdo's re-decorate." She says.

I giggle, "thanks Chrissy, if Four wasn't so.. You know.. Closed up, i'm sure he would've appreciated your effort."

"Tris, no need to hide it anymore i-" Christina is interrupted by Tobias coming in.

"Hey guys." He says. He comes over to me and grabs my waist planting a kiss on my lips.

He looks around.

"Hm. Looks neat." He says. I smile.

"So tomorrow's the day!" I say excitedly.

"It is." Christina says smirking. "And I will leave you to admire my awesome talents." She says as she turns to leave. She gives me one last smirk. She knows something, and I need to find out what.

"So do you like it?" I ask Tobias. He looks around. Who am I kidding, it looks like a bomb just went off.

"Well.." Tobias sighs and I laugh.

"Don't worry Christina hired a crew to come fix it up." I say

"Good." Tobias says laughing. We head out and eventually we have to go our separate ways. Apparently a bride and groom to be aren't supposed to be together the night before the wedding? I don't even know, it must be some stupid tradition. Tobias goes back to our apartment and I go to Shauna's.

"I love you." Tobias says before he goes. I pout.

"Don't leave me!" I say dramatically. Tobias kisses me and says,

"I would never," he says, "starting tomorrow."

I send him a fake glare and he laughs.

"I love you Trissy-poo." He says.

"I love you too even though I hate that name." I say. He kisses me one last time, and then we go our separate ways.

Sorry i haven't updated, omg its been so long! Im so sorry! But i've been preparing for back to school and i've just been busy. Im sorry. Anyways I'm going to try to finish up this story soon and also finish my short "candor or dauntless" story so that i can upload a new story I'm working on! Its a Uriah and Marlene fan fiction so stay tuned!
