Chapter 10

Tris POV

Today we plan on telling everyone about our engagement. I wake up to see Tobias staring at me. It startles me but he just chuckles and hugs me.

"Good morning beautiful." He says in his low, morning voice.

"Good morning." I say snuggling closer to him.

"You ready to tell everyone?" He asks, with his face in my hair, muffling his voice.

"Only if you are." I say.

"Of course." He replies.

"I'm going to shower, then we can go and get breakfast." He says, kissing my cheek and getting up.

"Alrighty." I say. He winks at me and I smile as I watch him get up and go into the bathroom. Once I hear the shower water run, I get up and change into my black pants, tank top and boots. I pull my hair up into a high pony tail and stare back at my reflection in the mirror. I've gotten used to looking at myself in the mirror since i've left abnegation. I could care less about mirrors anymore. But the only thing i'm concerned about is my looks. I'm not pretty and I wonder why Tobias even bothers with me. Tobias then comes out in a black t-shirt and black pants, snapping me out of my thoughts. His hair still has water droplets in it making it sparkle. He smiles at me.

"Ready?" He asks holding out his hand. I nod and try to stop myself from frowning at my thoughts. So I gladly take his hand. We walk down to the hall and I glance at my ring making me smiles and get butterfiles in my stomach. I start to get this huge cheesy grin on my face and I try to get it off as hard as I can. But I can't, and it's making me sick. I feel like an amity. I shiver at the thought. We enter the cafeteria and sit at our usual table. Christina is across from me and she's looking at me strangely.

"Why are you smiling like that?" She asks tilting her head in confusion.

"I can't smile?" I ask smirking. I feel Tobias's laugh on my side and he puts his arm around my waist. I put my hand outward towards Christina to grab a muffin. And I make sure to use the hand with the ring on it. Suddenly, her eyes bulge out of her head. Will gasps and says,

"One"

"Two." Zeke says.

"COVER YOUR EARS!" Tobias screams. I cover my ears, and Christina does the most loudest, scream I have ever- and I mean ever- heard. I think I lost my hearing permanently.

"O.M.G!!!!!!!!!" She squeals grabbing my hand and looking very closely at my finger. A little too closely. In the corner of my eye I see Zeke and Uriah on the floor groaning in pain.

"THE PAAAAIIIINNN!!!" Uriah cries, a little too dramatic. I giggle and turn my attention back to Christina which was a mistake because she starts yelling in my face.

"WHEN? HOW? WHAT!" She says still screaming with joy.

"Last night. On the Ferris wheel. And yeah." I say. She releases my hand making it smack on the table. Then she starts jumping up and down.

"Oww." I whine, but she ignores me.

"WHEN IS THE WEDDING?!" She squeaks. I feel my ears ringing and boy does it hurt.

"Ok please stop screaming. And I don't know I thought maybe you would want to help us plan?" I say but it sounds more like a question. She calms down a bit.

"YES!!! JUST YES!!!" She says. I laugh and we sit back down. Then Mar and Shaunna walk through the doors immediately staring at their boyfriends who are still currently on the floor.

"Umm Hey?" Shaunna starts, sounding unsure of what to say. Though I don't blame her, her boyfriend is rolling around on the floor smacking his ears.

Shaunna sighs. "Let's get straight to the point, what did they do now?" Shaunna says raising an eyebrow at Tobias. He puts his hands up in surrender.

"WHAT?" Uriah yells squinting his eyes and hitting his ear.

"Uri hun, are you ok? What happened now?" Marlene says not acting surprised.

"You missed the most loud, annoying scream EVER!" Zeke says, slowly getting up, petting his ear and pulling Shaunna over to sit with him. That kid is so strange I swear.

"What why?" She says confused. Everyone else looks at me as if to explain. I hold up my hand and Shaunna and Marlene scream, but not as loud as Christina. Zeke jumps back.

"Owww!" Zeke says. Shaunna turns around and kisses his cheek.

"Sorry babe." She says. And I hear Marlene in the BACKROUND struggling to get Uriah up off the floor. She plops him down in his seat and lets out a sigh of relief. She looks tired until she looks up and sees me hold my hand out showing her my ring.

"Aww guys congrats!! When did it happen?" Marlene asks Tobias and I.

"Thanks, and last night." Tobias says pulling me closer.

"awe!" She squeals and comes over to me engulfing me into a big hug. I hug her back and whisper in her ear,

"How do you live with him?" Referring to Uriah. She laughs and says,

"I have mental problems." I smile and walk back over to where I was sitting next to Tobias. He puts his arm around my waist pulling me as close to him as possible. I smile at Tobias and he smiles back.

"I love you." He says.

"I love you too" I reply, and he kisses me.

Sorry if that sucked, I tried my best, and try to remember that I'm not a professional author so I'm going to make mistakes. Anyways there's a huge storm RN and it's scaring the crap out of me so let's hope I don't die😂 ily💜
