Alexandra 'H.E.R.' Crane
I was doing TV appearances after TV appearances to release my 1st project H.E.R., Vol. 1 the Vol. 2 will be released next year. I was on Video Soul for the first time in my life, I wouldn't think I would be on this show because I used to watch it every day it came on.
"What is the deal with the sunglasses? What is behind those glasses?" Donnie asked as I laughed.
"Eyes," I said as we both shared a laugh.
"But I want to be mysterious, I preferred to remain anonymous and only be represented by my music," I said.
"Looks isn't everything, it's about the voice, it's about the lyrics, it's about connecting with the people that listen to my music," I added.
"I see, I feel you on what you're saying! You have a nice voice on you!!! How did you get into uptown records?" Donnie asked.
"He has really good groups and Artists on the label like Mary J. Blige, Guy, Heavy D, and Jodeci plus more how did you become a part of the family? I heard you turned him down?" He added.
"Well I got a call from Andre himself about him saying my demo tape asking me to come up there and sign a contract but I turned him down. I turn him down because I had some family issues that I was dealing with and I couldn't just go and do my music career knowing my family is in bad shape so I turned him down, he was so understanding and gave me his number whenever I was ready to do my career to call him and that is what I did." I said.
"Well, I am glad that you called him because you are blowing up the charts," Donnie said.
"Thank you, I really appreciate it," I said.
"So the album is coming out in about a week how do you feel?" Donnie asked.
"Well it's an EP, it finally comes out on the 9th! I created 7 songs for my project! This is a warm-up of what I have more in store." I said.
"My apologies, an EP! Two songs I want to discuss are "Facts" and "Focus" what are these two songs about? And are you single?" Donnie asked.
"Yes I am single, but I ain't looking for no one I am just focusing on myself," I said.
"And for my two songs Facts is about how a girl feels about her partner when they get alone together and Focus is about how she wants her partner to basically pay attention to her," I added.
