“Jade he isn’t good for you! He’s in a band, and that won’t support you!” your dad yelled. You were fighting with your parents bout your boyfriend, Matt. He was in a band called Bring Me The Horizon. Your parents hated the fact his source of income was playing music.

“But Dad come on! I really like him! It’s not fair! So what if he gets his money from playing gigs? I work too! I can support myself! At least he followed his dreams instead of having a job he hates!” you screamed back.

“I don’t care! We aren’t allowing you to see him again! You’re grounded!” she yelled. You shook your head and ran to your room and slammed your door. You flopped on your bed and turned on your speakers, blasting Matt’s music. You heard your parents pounding on your door, yelling at you to turn it down, but you just turned it up. You closed your eyes, and during one of the pauses after the song, you heard something hitting your window. You looked over to it and saw Matt sitting on the roof near it. You grinned and ran over to it to open it. He quietly came into your room and enveloped you into a hug. He pecked your lips and then sat down on your bed.

“Hey babe. Fighting with your parents again?” he asked.

“Yeah. I’m grounded and I’m not allowed to see you.” You said as a tear ran down your cheek. He wiped it away with his thumb.

“Hey now don’t cry. I don’t care what they say. I still want to see you. Run away with me?” he asked. Your eyes widen and you smiled.

“Of course I will!” you said, getting up and grabbing your suitcases from your closet. “Help me pack.” You said. He nodded and went to your drawers and three your panties, bras, and pajamas into a duffel bag. You threw all of your pants and shirts into a suitcase, and the rest of your clothes and shoes into the other.

“Okay. Are you sure about this Jade?” he asked. You nodded.

“Yes. I don’t want to be fighting with them forever. And I love you Matt. Let’s go.” You said as you threw your suitcases down to the ground. You took the duffel bag and put it on your back and climbed out the window. You slid off the lowest side of the roof and onto the ground. Matt did the same and grabbed one of your suitcases. You walked them to his car parked a block away and put them into the trunk. You looked back to the house you had grown up in. But you were glad you were finally leaving. You looked at Matt.

“Let’s go.”
