I stood there not believing what Miranda had done, just to get Jake away from me.
"I can't believe you!" I shouted, trying to grab the guitar back.
I should tell you the beginning.
I'm Melissa, always known as Wish. I go to an elite school that focuses on what classes you want to take, and mainly the arts. I happen to be a dancer and working on my writing skills. I have been going here since grade 6 with my friends Nikki and Taylor. Nikki is an artist and Taylor is into fashion design. This school had been an all girls school since I had been there and for as long as the history on it goes back.
That all changed my sophmore year.
We had been eating dinner in the dining hall when the headmistress, Madame Stockwright went to the podium and called for our attention. The whispers rose, mainly because girls had been sending her letters, begging for answers. "Now, as you all know, there have been rumors about an all boys school much like ours. I would like to inform you that these are correct." Whispers rose up throughout the dining hall. Madame Stockwright cleared her throat and continued on.
"I recently contacted their headmaster, and he agreed that we should try an expirement. This school has been an all girls school for countless generations, and tonight, that will be changed."
As soon as she finished saying this, the doors opened at the end of the hall, where at least 50 boys, ranging from year 6 to year 12 proceeded in. I felt Nikki squeeze my leg and whisper "Oh. My. God. Boys. Actual boys. And they're like us!" I shivered in excitment and said "I know! I can't wait."
Okay to correct the headmistress our school technically wasn't all girls. Her grandson Drew had been at the school. I was dating him. We weren't as close as we used to though. I had a feeling he was hiding something from me. And I was gonna find out.
Just then a guy who looked to be in my grade locked eyes with me. His eyes were a mesmirizing hazel brown that match natural highlights in his dirty blond hair. He smiled, showing off straight teeth and I froze. I then quickly smiled back as soon as he turned back to face forward. This time it was Taylor who squeezed my leg.
This was gonna be an interesting year.
