Wish's Outfit: http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_49/set?id=63830296
I got up Saturday morning, getting ready to start my plan. It was a simple plan, I just hoped it would work.
To Hunter: Hey! I'll meet you at the enterance to the town. Btw, my friend is coming too, you guys will get along, ik it. Can't wait!
To Leesh: Heyyyy so. That guy I was tellin you bout? Well, you're meeting him today! We're meeting him outside of town so meet up with me before we leave the school
Hunter: Awesome! Sounds good & mmkay, the more the merrier!
Leesh: Ermagosh! I cannot wait! He sounds amazing hehe & sure! I can't wait! eep!
I laughed at Leesh, she was able to easily become a girly girl at anytime that she liked. It was pretty funny, but amazing too. I got up and raced into the bathroom and showered quickly. I changed into my favorite Jack Wills sweatshirt, jeans, and throwing up my hair into a messy bun.
I grabbed my phone while waiting for Nikki and Taylor, which they knew about my plan so we were just oging to walk down together as I met up with Aleesha. We walked down the stairs slowly joining the rest of the crowds "So where are we going to meet up after you get done with Hunter and Leesh?" Nikki asked.
I chuckled "Well, I do not know what you guys will do, but I might just go back because I think you two will wanna stay with Jordan and Mike. I do not want to be a fifth wheel, and I need to practice dancing." Nikki started to protest but Taylor spoke over her.
"Okay Wish, just try and not hurt yourself. It would be a problem, since there really will not be anyone around to help." I tilted my head back when I laughed at her, knowing our long ago made joke. We reached the commons then, and I spotted Leesh immeadiately. I said goodbye to Nikki and Taylor, not worrying too much, noting Mike and Jordan coming.
I strolled over to her giggling all the way, as I watched her fidget. She looked up just as I reached her, a smile spreading across her face. "Hey! Oh my gosh, how do I look? I am really nervous. And I don't even know why!" Leesh said, nervously laughing at the end. I grabbed her wrist and looked her in the eye, and easy smile on my face "Don't worry so much! You'll be fine, you look great, and the two of you will be perfect for each other."
She smiled again whispering a small thanks, just as the crowd started to move. I linked arms, because that's what I do, and so I wouldn't lose Leesh. I was surprised at how many people were going into town again, even though it had only been one week after the dance. I did notice more couples going in, rather than multiple groups of friends.
I smiled, looking around, hoping that someday I would be able to get something like that again. Leesh and I chatted mainly about books and her writing. Mr. Huffton had sent off some of her stories to an old friend of his and they offered to publish her. "That's amazing Leesh! You have to get published! Then maybe I could finally read some of your work." I gushed, excited for her.
We walked for a few more minutes, before quickly reaching the outskirts of town. Most people had gone in, but I noticed a few people hanging around, one in particular, Hunter who of course, was wearing a beanie and his hipster glasses. "There he is" I said, nudging Leesh and nodding my head in his direction. Her gaze followed and I heard a small gasp escape her lips. "Hunter?! Ohmygosh, he is in one of my writing classes and I have always been way too afraid to talk to him." I giggled "Well, nows your chance."
We strolled up to him smiling with red cheeks from the wind. "Hey Hunter! It's good to see you. So this is my friend Aleesha," I said stepping away from her so he could take in a full view of her amazingness. I saw her blush a bit more, making her cheeks even redder "Hey. You can just call me Leesh, that is what everyone else calls me." I smiled at her new-found confidence, she always surprised me.
We walked on, heading towards the book store/cafe that Hunter had told me about. Leesh and Hunter were already off, in their own world. I took out my phone and quickly sent a message to Nikki and Taylor.
To Nikki and Taylor: Things here are going smoothly. I'm just gonna grab coffee then go to the school and dance. See you later! xx
Nikki: Amazing! See you! xx
Taylor: That's awesome! Have fun dancin your heart out! xx
I laughed quietly, putting my phone away just as the three of us walked into the cafe. After ordering, Hunter and Leesh went to sit, "Come on Wish! You gonna join us?" Leesh asked, being polite. I shook my head smiling "Nah, I am actually not feeling to well, so I will see you guys later. Have fun!" I grabbed my coffee since they just handed it to me and walked out the door. About five minutes on my way back I felt my phone vibrate with two messages.
Hunter: Thanks for introducing me! She's in 1 of my classes, been 2 afraid 2 talk 2 her.
Leesh: OMG. THANK YOU! you''re amazing tell you about it laterrr
I smiled again, tucking my phone away as I headed up the steps to the school. The building was nearly empty, so I headed up to the dorm, switching my clothes for yoga pants and a loose shirt to go dance in.
I walked to the dance room, avoiding the band room yet again. Even if Jake was not in the school, I could not be sure I hadn't seen him in the group going to town, I did not want to pass by. There were too many memories, and I still did not think that my heart could bear it. Espically after what happened on Monday.
**************
I danced for hours. When walking into the dance room, I had checked the time to see the clock reading 11:30. So when I stopped for a ten minute break, the first one since I started, I checked the clock again, to see it read 3:55.
I decided to finish dancing for the day, for it had been over four hours of dancing nothing but the same exact routine. I turned off the music and cleaned up what little mess I had made. I changed the song on my phone to 'Daughters' to John Mayer, putting in headphones, and walked out the door.
Straight into someone. Man I do that a lot. I need to watch where I am going. I turned my head up to apologize to the person, but the words died on my lips. Standing there was Jake, guitar in hand, guilty look in his eye, yet you knew he was going to beg for forgiveness.
"Wi- Melissa. Please. Please just listen to me. Then, you can make your choice. Either we can never talk again and act like nothing happened between us, or we could somehow try and re-kindle our relationship. It would not even have to go back to what it was a day before the dance, just... Just even being friends. So please, please just listen to me." Jake pleaded.
I sat there, right on the ground, in front of the dance room. "Start talking."
