I woke up in my bed, which surprised me. I had been up the night before until about 1 a.m. looking for clothes to wear today. I had given up when I realized I didn't even know what the day was going to be like.

Nikki and Taylor walked over to where I was, sitting on my bed. "Morning, sleepy head. You gonna get up and shower or do I get it before you for once?" Taylor commented. I stuck my tounge out at her "I'm up I'm up." I rolled onto the floor, and rolled into the bathroom. "Really Wish? God, you're so lazy in the mornings." Nikki rolled her eyes, I guessed, knowing I was right anyways.

After I got out of the bathroom and grabbed the first thing I found on the floor, finding a WVU sweatshirt, jeans, and combat boots. I strolled out into the room where I was greeted by a larger group than there was before. Jake strolled over to me and wrapped his arms around me. Butterflies flitted around my stomach as my arms rose to hug him back.

"What're we waiting for? Let's go!" Taylor chirped, obviously happy with Mike by her side. I would've rolled my eyes, but seeing as I was the same with Jake, I had no room to say. Nikki and Jordan were so entertwined, I was shocked that I could see her face and she still had the ability to talk. Jake leaned down and whispered in my ear "Yeah.. I think we'll just drop them off in some little booth that they can have to themselves before we go see a movie."

I smiled up at him, completely agreeing. We walked out of the room in pairs of twos, Jake and I in the lead. "So," I started, not wanting to walk in silence "What's the whole plan for today?" He wrapped his arm tighter around me as he thought about how to answer this question. "Well, we obviously need to get our sour candy. And we'll be seeing a movie. But I want to take you out to eat, so we have to see the movie earlier than we did last time."

Jake looked down at me. "Sound good?"

Sound good? It's sounds great! I wanted to say to him, but I thought it would make me seem crazy. Instead, I smiled up at him and said "Sounds great. What's the movie we're gonna see this time?" Just then Taylor and Mike caught up to us after hearing my last statement. "I think we should go see Pitch Perfect!" Taylor giggled. Mike looked revolted and said "No way! We should go see Taken 2. What do you two think?"

I looked over to Jake who peered back at me. "Well, I think either movie would be fine but I'm leaning more towards Pitch Perfect. Sorry Mike." I stated. Mike just shook his head at me and then turned to look at Jake "What about you, Jake my mate? Gonna help me out?" He swiveled his head between Mike, Taylor, and I. "Uhm.. Well.." he mumbled. "You're gonna think I'm a complete wuss, but I gotta say, I'm gonna go with Pitch Perfect."

"Whoop whoop! Winning!" Taylor and I shouted. Mike just nudged Jake in the side and mumbled, quiet enough that he thought I couldn't hear "You just wanna get on her good side for later."

Later?

Jake, Mike, Taylor, and I all trekked out of the warm coffee shop into the blowing fall wind. It was getting even closer to winter, the thought made me shiver. I turned to check the window seat one last time before we went into the movie theatre across the street to see Nikki and Jordan snuggled up in a corner, obviously enjoying one's company.

When I caught up to the other three in line, they had already paid. "Okay, who do I need to pay for my ticket?" MIke and Taylor sniggered as they walked off to get popcorn and drinks. I stood there confused as I looked over to Jake. He smiled at me "Don't worry about it, I mean, I did ask you to come to the movies with me. So why would you need to pay me back?"

My mind was reeling as his words sunk in.I never thought that I would get a guy to pay for a date, for as long as I went to the private school. I mean, even though I went out with Drew, he never paid for my ticket. He wouldn't wait for me, he'd get his then walk into the movie.

There was the one nagging thought in the back of my head though. Don't go overboard on thinking this means something, Wish. He still hasn't asked you out yet. He may just be playing you for now. Keep your gaurd up. Be wary.

Shut up and let me enjoy this. I snapped back at the voice inside my head.

**********

After stumbling into the bright afternoon light from being in the darkened movie theatre, the four of us spilt ways. Jake grabbed my hand taking me towards the center of the small town. I tried to get where we were going out of him, but he just smiled and shook his head.

A few more minutes later, we abruptly stopped in front of a small italian resturant that I knew exsisted, just never been in. I looked over at Jake who was obviously proud of his choice. "You like?" he asked when he caught me staring at him. I felt myself blush as I responded, "Of course. Now let's go in! I'm starving!"

Ten minutes of waiting we were finally escorted to a booth. We sat down, I was nervous and jittery, whereas Jake looked relaxed and adorable as normal. When we finished ordering our drinks and food, Jake leaned closer to the table, reaching for my hand.

"Hey," he smiled over at me making my heart flutter. "Hi" I said back meekly. God, how did he do this to me? Perfectly fine one minute, then the brush of his hand... I was gone. "You're probably wondering why I wanted to take you out." This statement caught my attention. It brought me back from Daydream land. "Oh.. yeah. Kind of." I smiled sheepishly at him, feeling my cheeks go warm.

He took a deep breath before saying "Well, Wish. I only met you about 12 weeks ago, but it's seemed like so much longer. You've told me a lot about yourself, and you've gotten to know a bit about me too. I've grown fond of you, and to quote some lyrics, I can't love you more than this. I wanted to do this sooner but I wanted to find the right time so Wish..."

Just then.. Our food came. Jake immediately became quiet, obviously not waanting anyone else to hear the next part of his speech. As soon as the waitress was out of sight Jake looked back at me.

"Where was I? Oh yeah. I wanted to find the right time. None of the times in the band room seemed like it would be good, for some reason it didn't seem special enough for this moment in time." He  kept quoting lyrics, making me blush. He grabbed my hand a little tighter as he began the next part. "Well, Wish, I wanna hold your hand forever. At least for now, I know I can hold it for a while. So, will you be my girlfriend, so I don't have to worry about any guy trying to steal you away?"

I stared at him, letting everything sink in. No way in hell I thought a guy would say something that special to me. And my answer to the whole thing just had to be one. Simple. Word.

"Yes" I breathed, grasping his hand tighter in mine.
