If you're wondering, that's Morty the skeleton. He's here to visit for now, enjoy the story.

==================================

We rode the Bullhead for a little while, I tried to stay away from Yang as much as possible because I still didn't trust her entirely.

"Are you alright, brother?" Ruby said, noticing that I was barely keeping myself awake.

The screen appeared, "I'm a little tired, but I'll be fine." I lied, I hadn't slept since three this morning, "besides, I can't sleep while I see my sister in five years."

"I don't know," Weiss said, "you look ready to pass out."

"I'll be fine, promise-" I started to dose off, but I caught myself.

Ruby sat next to me, "You have to sleep, if you want you can sleep on my shoulder." She looked concerned.

"Fine," I gave in, "but you have to wake me up an hour before we land, got it?"

"Yes, now sleep." She said, and almost as if she used magic, you were out.

Ruby POV

His head fell on my shoulder. He wore his mask on his face, 'saying' that it didn't matter because he couldn't talk so it couldn't muffle his voice.

I turned to see Blake staring at him, "He's kind of cute when he's not trying to interrogate you."

I laughed a little, "He always was the one who scared away the monsters when we were little, even for Yang."

"That's not true!" She said embarrassed, "I 'checked' too."

"Yeah, when he fell asleep before us." I said.

"So he was the brave one of the three of you?" Blake asked.

"He was more the protective one," I said, "he would put himself in danger to protect us, like when he lost his voice."

I grew sad, even though he had protected Yang and I from that beowolf, and several other things before things went bad, he was repayed with losing his ability to speak, an arm, and he was abused. Yet he still pushed through, even though he had to run away, he still pretended he was fine and wanted to protect us, even forcing himself to stay awake so he could defend us at a moment's notice.

Yang was looking at the floor, I noticed tears in her eyes, "He saved me from the beowolf and I still treated him like shit," she said, "and he's still willing to talk to me."

"How did he lose his voice?" Blake asked, we never told her, did we?

Yang explained what happened, she told Blake and Weiss why she blamed him, she told them that she got him in trouble because she didn't want to take the blame for anything, that she got used to it and sometimes used it for entertainment.

Weiss and Blake looked disgusted, to say the least. I glared at her, she was part of why Y/N ran away. I never truly forgave her for it. But he always wrote, uncle Qrow had always snuck them to me so Tai and Yang didn't know, because he didn't want what happened to Y/N happen to me.

The ride to Beacon was long after that conversation, when we were almost there I woke Y/N.

"Ugh, my back hurts now." he said, stretching.

"That's because you didn't want to sleep on my lap," I told him, "so you slept in a weird position."

"That would've been weird, we're brother and sister." He said. "Only couples do that crap."
