Assassins (Killua x Reader)

Chapter 24

(Y/N) POV

Killua continues to glare at me for not answering, while Kurapika explains the plans.

Gon suddenly asks Kurapika to put a nen blade in him. Killua gets upset and reminds Gon that Kurapika's nen only works on the phantom troupe. Gon uses logic, for once, to determine that is not true. Kurapika says that what he is about to explain will put him in more danger so Leorio and Killua stand up to leave the room.

"Oi, (Y/N), come on let's go."Leorio says eyes trained on me.

"Why would I leave if I already know what he is going to say? I might as well stay here." I stare back while Leorio and Killua "leave".

Kurapika explains exactly how his abilities work, and sure enough I had already guessed all of it. The only thing I learned was the names he used for his abilities.

After he finishes explaining Leorio and Killua pop out from behind the couch. Kurapika tells us he was never going to use his ability on us in the first place. Killua and I head out to start the mission as instructed.

We get to the base of the phantom troupe and are surprised to find that the buildings have multiplied. Killua calls Kurapika and explains the situation. Kurapika says he will take care of it so now we just have to sit and wait.

"Why did you leave the phantom troupe?" Killua suddenly asks me.

I think for a little before answering "because they started scoping peoples eyes out."

"Wait does that mean you never actually helped kill the Kurta clan?" He questions.

"No I stopped just before killing one but I still feel guilty because I couldn't stop them from dying, if I hadn't explained that to Kurapika he wouldn't even be talking to me right now." I explain.

Before anything else can be said Killua's phone goes off. He talks on the phone before looking to his right. I follow his gaze and find a person staring at us from another building.

Killua puts the phone down and whispers "raise your right hand."

To my surprise the other person raises their right hand.

We meet up with them and they explain their name is melody and that they are one of Kurapika's friends. And we began tracking the phantom troupe.

"Are you two assassins?" Melody suddenly quizzes.

"I used to be." Killua looked at me prompting me to speak next.

"Yeah, I'm an assassin, how could you tell?" I say asking my own question as well.

"Your footsteps are the quietest I've ever heard, even though you are standing right next to me, especially you (Y/N)." Melody explains.

"Wait more importantly, you can hear my footsteps?" I question.

"Yes, but they are nearly inaudible." She explains.

"Well it is raining so I guess that would explain why." I contemplate.

"STOP, they are up there around the corner." Melody exclaims.

"How can you tell which footsteps are theirs?" I inquire.

"Each footstep has a slightly different sound so it's pretty easy to tell them apart." She explains.

Before she can continue me and Killua are on different building going to check out the phantom troupe members.

When we get to the top of the building Killua calls Gon, Who is with Kurapika and Leorio, and begins describing what each of the phantom troupe members look like.

We are told to trail Chrollo and the others by Kurapika, so we follow the spiders informing where we are going to the others the whole way.

Kurapika ends up running after the spiders along with Gon. Killua, Melody, and I run after the two of them.

When we catch up Kurapika is in an alleyway and Gon is hiding behind a mail box while the spiders approach. Killua and I hide in the ally along with Kurapika. Gon jumps out and apologizes for following them they tell Killua to come out so he does I stay put knowing they would recognize me and be more suspicious of what we were doing.

They talk for a little and then the boss tells Machi to tie them up.

"Wait, stop." I jump out from the ally.

"Boss what do you want to do with (Y/N)?" Machi asks calmly.

Chrollo thinks for a little before telling her to tie me up too. I knew I couldn't resist because there was a chance Kurapika would be found too, so I sat there and let myself be caught.

"Shouldn't we just kill them?" Machi suggests to the boss.

I tense up for a moment before Chrollo tells her that we probably have a connection to the chain user so we could be used as bait.

We end up at a hotel, Leorio is sitting on one of the couches, we stop here waiting for something, or someone.

We get a secret message from Leorio that the lights will go out at exactly seven o'clock.

While we are waiting for the lights, some other spiders arrive and Paku is told to search us and figure out what we are hiding.

The lights go out and Gon and Killua tried to escape while I just stayed put knowing they would never make it.

While I stood there I saw Chrollo get taken away without anyone noticing. Soon enough the lights came on and everyone saw that their boss was missing.
