Weeks passed since Kawaki suddenly appeared at the village. He wasn't allowed to leave the hospital until aunt Sakura made sure he was in perfect state. Of course, based on my medical abilities that I've learned from her I could tell that he was perfectly fine, so staying in the hospital was a waste of money and space.

My daily routine change a bit. During mornings I went to the Hyuga compound to keep on training my Tenseigan, then went with Boruto to train with Sasuke-sensei and during the afternoons, I visited Kawaki. I tried to do this everyday but my father made sure I continued my studies as a shinobi so there were time were I couldn't see him.

But today I made an exception. I was at home with my mother preparing everything. It reminded me of when I was a child, baking and helping with the chores for fun. But this time was different.

"Don't you think you're overworking yourself Hima?" Boruto asked in a bored tone as he saw me and my mom doing all the things.

"No" I replied. I mean I was actig totally normal, specially when my dad allowed Kawaki to stay at our house.

"I still disagree with his decision dattebasa. I mean he could've stayed anywhere except here."

"You're just saying that because he isn't your friend yet. Otherwise the story would've been different."

"That's not true!"

"Oh please" I rolled my eyes.

"Guys quit it please. Your father will be arriving soon with Kawaki. Now Boruto will you please help us with the food?" Hinata said with a sly smile that made my brother shut his mouth and quickly start working.

"I'm home!" dad said while entering the house. We all greeted him and Kawaki who was right beside him. We gave each other a warm smile before I had a small headache.

'Himawari'

"Hima-chan?" Borjto asked while glancing at me. Then the pain was gone.

"I'm fine" I said.

We had dinner together. Kawaki sat beside me and ate all the food I made him. We had a great time together, one we've neber had in years, which somehow it made me realize that everything is turning out good.

And I was happy for it.

Boruto went to his room to play with his video games while I went to set up Kawaki's room. Once I finished and went down-stairs I heard them talking about me.

"What do you want with her dattebayo?" My dad asked. I activated my Byakugan to see what was happening clearly. Kawaki was acting strange, and had a deadly look on his face.

'This is not right'

"I want to stand by her side forever" Kawaki replied.

"Then how come you don't feel that relaxed? You've been looking around like if we were about to kill you. We're not like that."

"Of course not." Kawaki said while drinking his cup of water. Dad got even more serious.

"There are some rules to follow if you wanna stay here. You will live at this house, but you won't go to Himawari's room under any circumstances." Dad explained while glaring at him. "We all know how you two feel about each other, but respect this place."

"I don't intend to disrespect anyone" he said while I blushed like a mad girl.

'Way to go, love'

"Good. Now, tell us everything about you." dad said. "I gotta know the story of the man who stole my little princess heart dattebayo!"

"I have no story to tell"

'Just tell him Kawaki. Tell him ho we met.'

My dad sighed, "You're wrong. Everyone has a story to tell."

"Then I am an exception" he said. His chakra levels rising rapidly before standing up and smashing the table with tremendous speed. My mother gasped at the sudden move. I saw how he stood up and turned to leave but my father's Nine-Tails mode warned him.

"Alright. I see how things are going to be." he said while staying in a calm mood. "Look, I know you've been here for a little while and that you don't trust anyone except my daughter. I offer you a home, a family and a place to stay and move on from everything. Now you can leave if you want, but I'll assure you that you'll never see Himawari again. Not until we know everything about you."

Kawaki gasped and stood silent for a while, before calming himself and lowering his head. "I apologize for this"

My dad went normal and made a sigh of relief. "I know you're there Hima. Take him to his room dattebayo" he said while turning around to where I was.

I suddenly turned off my Byakugan and got out of the spot from where I was, only to see a super serious Kawaki and a grinning father. I was embarassed as hell for the whole situation  so I made a motion to Kawaki so he could follow my lead.

"So this is your room" I said while opening the door. "Is not much but is better than sleeping on the streets."

"I'll do" he said without looking at me while walking in. I was about to let him go, but my arm automatically grabbed his. It was the moment when I knew I needed answers.

"What is your problem? Why couldn't you talk about your past and about how we met to my dad?" I asked.

"I apologize for that" he said with a cold voice.

"No you don't. What's wrong?"

"Nothing love." he said while lifting my chin. "Did I ever mentioned that you look beautiful when your Byakugan activates?"

"Wha-" I said before he kissed me deeply. It was sweet and passionate, but also a bit odd that he did it that way.

"Oh God!" I heard my brother's voice before braking the kiss. He showed an annoyed face. "Really? Right now? Right here?! There's more people here dattebasa! And my room's right beside this one!"

"Shut up, banana head" I said while hiding my embarassement. Boruto gulped before rolling his eyes.

"Whatever" he said while walking between us and glaring at Kawaki for a short time. Kawaki did the same but he smirked before closing the door. I stood alone in the hallway for a while, before going back to my room.

'Everything will be fine'

"Dang it!" I said before falling on my bed to sleep. I mean, he was here alive and healthy and loving me...but it feels like-like...

'He's not the man I met'
