Naruto woke up in the middle of the night, having an uneasy feeling.

"It's too calm" he murmured while staring at the window.

"Naruto-kun?" Hinata asked while waking up right beside him. "What's going on?"

"Nothing dattebayo" he said while giving her a grin.

"You feel it too, right?" she replied. "Ever since they left, a strange chakra has been around the village. I wonder how they are doing..."

Naruto stood silent, thinking of a reason why he was feeling so uneasy. Boruto is a great shinobi, about to become a jonin and can defend himself very well while Himawari became really strong, with the capacity to enter the ANBU, or to lead the Hyuga clan if she wanted. There are so many possibilities for their future in this village...

But Kawaki had a great influence inside the Uzumaki's house. He knew Himawari was deeply connected to him, despise how Boruto thinks about their relationship. He wanted to be honest with himself, Kawaki could be the right guy for his daughter, but the way he returned to the village is still unclear and if things go wrong, his beloved sunflower could be in danger.

Suddenly, the village alarms started beeping. Naruto and Hinata jumped of the bed and changed clothes quickly. It's been years since they last heard that sound, which was only used when the village faced a huge threat.

"Hinata, go to the office and reunite with the rest." he said before running off to the gates.

"Naruto-kun!" Hinata yelled, as he turned around. He suddenly saw Otsusuki members fighting and taking over his wife. She was fighting back but they were too many of them.

"Hinata!" he yelled while the enemy stood in front and attack him. The civilians were running away and yelling in fear. He made shadow clones to protect the civilians while trying to out number the enemy. They fought together until they were back to back, facing their opponents.

"The village's been invaded. Civilians are being captured as they kill all the shinobis" Hinata said with her Byakugan activated.

"They don't seem to come after me dattebayo" he replied. "How are the others?"

"Not well, some of them have been deeply injured."

"Then I'll have to use it." he said before trying to activate it.

'Don't!'

"Huh? Sh-Shikamaru?!" he said while stopping.

"What's happening?" Hinata asked.

'We are outnumbered and even if you use him, you will endanger the life of the civilians that are captured.'

'How do you know that dattebayo?'

'They drain the chakra of their victims before capturing them. Their fighting style is almost like the Hyuga's but more fast and powerful.'

'So, what do you suggest?'

'I sent Boruto's friends away from the village before they got captured. They will find Team 7, then Sasuke before fighting back. Besides, I don't think the real enemy is here.'

Naruto nodded before giving up his fighting position. Hinata looked at him with confusion.

"Follow me" was all Naruto said before he let himself being captured. The Otsusuki members quickly took him down and knock him out.

"Naruto-kun!" Hinata yelled as she tried to protect her husband but the enemy knock her out and took her away.

Meanwhile, Konohamaru watched how his village got destroyed by these men. He fought until the very end, but the enemy was strong, as if he knew each an every ability he had.

"Who are you?" Konohamaru said. "Why have you come here?!"

"You people should already know me, but of course I don't expect you to recognize me this quickly since it's been a while.." he said as Konohamaru took a deep look at the man who stood in front of him.

"You're an Otsusuki member. You've come to avenge Toneri's death?"

"More like to finish what we both begun. The Nine Tails has been already captured along with the Byakugan Princess. Surrender, you no longer stand a chance against us."

"Us..." Konohamaru said while lowering his battle position as he received a telepathic message from a certain shinobi. "I hate to admit it, but there's nothing else to do for the village."

"Are you not making any tricks, Lord Eight?"

"A true shinobi never gives up on his will, but also admits when he has lost a battle." Konohamaru reolied while letting get himself captured by some Otsusuki clan members.

"Your weakness is morality." the leader said while smirking. "In time everything will fall into place."
