Konoha's New Prodigy: The Journey

The room was dark and cold. There were no bed, no dinner table, no bathroom. Just a chained up man at the middle of it, bleeding and suffering the consequences of the crimes he committed.

He stood in silent, waiting for his time to come. Yet, he was still managing to make a wicked smile as if he had accomplished something.

"Wake up" he heard a male voice say as the door opened. "I know you still have the strenght to do so."

"Is interesting to see this new side of you, Uzumaki Naruto." he replied.

"I'm not finished with you Toneri. Not after what you did to my daughter."

"What would the people of the Five Nations think about your behavior? Is this the great hero they've always wanted? The greatest Hokage of all?" Toneri said while smirking evilly before receiving a punch that made him loose a teeth.

"You talk nonesense dattebayo..."

"Naruto" Sasuke interrupted by standing beside him. "Don't follow his mind games."

The Uchiha stood in front of Toneri with his Sharingan activated. "You have one chance. Tell me what did you do to Himawari or I'll take drastic methods."

"Oh, I'm dying to feel how that works" he replied before coughing blood. Sasuke was going to place him into a Genjutsu before I stopped him.

"That's enough" I said.

"Why, Kakashi?" Sasuke asked with irritation.

"We got some news from the hospital."

"Is Himawari okay?" Naruto said in a rush.

"She's fine" Toneri said with a smile. "The side effects are only beginning to show." Naruto quickly punched him in his face out of rage.

"You've talked enough dattebayo" he replied.

"Well that was intense" I said. "Come on, we have some issues to attend."

"Naruto, Sasuke-kun" Sakura said as we arrived  the hospital. "I'm glad you both came."

"What happened?" Naruto asked.

"Come, I will show you" she said while guiding us to ther office. Ino  and Hinata were already there, waiting for us. "Have a seat."

"You see, there has been an incident this morning regarding Himawari's behavior." Ino started as she showed a video of what happened inside Himawari's room. The three of us saw how Hima almost ripped he nurse's hand off with her mouth as the other people tried to stop her. I glanced at Naruto and Hinata who were really disturbed at what they were seeing.

"That's not her" Hinata said. "She's not like this."

"I was in her mind during that time" Ino replied." And I assure you, she was entirely aware of what she was doing."

"However" Sakura said. "We also detected another being interfering with her mind. Like a double conscience trying to dominate her mind."

"Toneri's conscience" Sasuke said.

"And how do we heal her?" Hinata asked.

"I recommend giving her time" Ino said. "Make her remember everything about us slowly, and answer every question she does with the truth."

"There's a posibility that Toneri might have changed her perception of things, so we must make sure to tell her everything without losig control of ourselves." Sakura added.

"Meanwhile, she'll come here once month to receive treatment." Ino continued. "She will not be allowed to do missions until she's completely healed."

Once the meeting ended Hinata turned to her husband.

"She's at home under Shinki and Boruto's care."

"I'm worried about what that bastard put on her head dattebayo" Naruto said.

"So do I" she replied while taking his hand. "But we must never give up on her. She's our daughter after all."

"Yeah, she will make it out of this." Naruto said while nodding.
