I answer the phone and I cringe at my the sound of my Aunt Carol, "I am glad to say that your cancer has not spread. But we need to start chemotherapy as soon as possible."

"Alright. We will meet again tomorrow after school."

School has been rough these past few days. I've been falling asleep in class and I have always been late. senior year has absolutely sucked.

I walk back out to see Luke smiling at me, "Ooo who was that?" He winks at me.

I laugh, "It was my aunt, you weirdo."

I sit next to him and rest my head on his shoulder and sigh, "What would you do if you had one more day to live?"

"I would spend it with the ones I love the most." He smiles. "That's a weird question to ask"

"I was curious."

"Plus, you shouldn't worry about that. You should just live your life day by day and not worry about the past or the future. Take life one day at a time." He says while hugging me.

He looked sad for some reason. Maybe Ashton told him that I had cancer.. But it was weird, he had the right words to say.

The Next Day

I went to the doctors straight after school and my aunt starts to tell me about the chemotherapy process. I was a complete mess but she helped me through it.

"Look, I know what I did was wrong and sorry will never be enough for you to forgive me but I really am sorry. I had one too many drinks that night and I just want you and I to go back to the way we used to be." Aunt Carol says with tears in her eyes.

I give her a weak smile, "Alright, lets start fresh."

Most people would think that I am insane for letting her be in my life again but there's nothing else I can do. I need her more than ever right now.

"Also, I think it'd be good for you to join a support group!" She mentions. "Here is the address and times!"

She hands me a piece of paper with all the information on it. I noticed that there was a meeting tonight, why not go and take a look?

I thank her and head on home. I had the car today so I didn't have to call a taxi. I get home and change into some nicer clothes and tell my parents I am going out with Ashton.

I get to the building at where it was held and there were quite a few people in there. I tried to make small talk with some.

"Hi! I'm Sandra!" Sandra greeted me with such a warm smile. "What's your name?"

"I-I'm Scarlett. Nice to meet you." I shyly say. "Sorry, I'm new to all of this..."

"What pain in the ass brought you in here?" She laughs. "Thyroid cancer brought me in here."

"Oh, I have um leukemia... You're very positive and I admire that."

"Well you can't mope around all day and be sad. You got to live life with no regrets. Even if you are living with cancer." Sandra says.

"Also, I just have to say this. You are beautiful." I smile.

"Aw thank you! Like my new haircut?" She says while pointing to her bald head.

I nod and continue talking with her for a little bit. I loved her sense of humor. It was amazing that she was like that. I'm a complete mess and she's still living life to the fullest.

I walk over to the food table to grab a little snack. I then pour myself some punch and turn back around to Sandra. But, being the clutz I am, I ran into someone, spilling my punch all over him.

"Oh my gosh I am so sorry," I say while picking everything up.

"Wait a minute..." I pause. "Luke..? What are you doing here...?"
