Raphael and I were hanging out in my room when I heard Richard and Jason start arguing downstairs. "Dammit."
"Uhh give me a second." Going downstairs to the ruckus, they don't seem to notice.

"Oh lighten up bird boy." I hear Jason say to Richard.
"Jason for the last time this isn't Gotham. I know what you do at night when you're not with anyone and Bruce gave us strict orders."
"It was a one-time thing."
"So was last week a one-time thing too?" Richard was grounding himself as Jason looks ready to fight.

"Why can't they just get along?"
"What is going on?" I cut in with my arms cross.
"(Y/n), stay out of this." They yell back at me.
"Oh okay. " I joke "sure I'll go back upstairs while the two idiots bicker like an old married couple meanwhile it may have to do with everyone in this household. We only have each other right now, so we either all talk like the adults we are or you can all just shut your trap." I hated whenever they fought. It never goes anywhere I would have meditated but in this situation, I'm not sure what to do.

Silence fills the room, knowing that I'm right. When the silence became overbearing I took a breath before heading to my room.

"What was that about?" Raphael looked at me weird.
"Brothers," I answer short.
He nodding in understanding knowing how that was like. I have yet to meet his family and he has yet to meet my family. I think for now we like our bubble. No one sticking their nose in our business, and having fun without judgment.

Raphael's brother called making him leave. I currently downstairs for a family meeting.
"Okay, we know you all heard the argument earlier." Richard started.
"I think I should explain my side first." Jason intervened.
"I know we said no night activities, but I heard there were vigilantes around here trying to stop something called the foot clan. I wanted a closer look so a few nights I'll patrol saved a few people before getting mugged or anything while I was out. I was careful with those times. It was just that one night which was last night to be exact, I heard them. It sounded like four of them. I didn't see them but I saw them stop the foot clan, well the aftermath of their fight I heard. The foot clan was just guys dressed as ninjas, which lead me to look up what I was digging into."
He ended his side which also shed light as to why we were sent here.
"That's how I found out about his activities, I noticed that he was looking into something we shouldn't get involved in yet. We already have our own problems we don't need to take on another. Especially since we need to stay low, and can't afford to have attention." Richard adds knowing he's just repeating orders from Bruce.

"So which brings the reason for this meeting. If you guys want to go back to our routine we can but small things, we aren't doing anything with the foot clan until we are told to.  And if we happen to meet these vigilantes we can try to help but again we can't get too involved. We have no idea what we're dealing with not to mention we are not leading them to our problems either." Richard ends.
"I don't know guys this is a big risk, plus if Bruce finds out were in trouble or heck what if anyone here finds out that we are here it'll lead him right to us. What then?" Barbara answer.
"I don't see why not, we were trained for this. Besides we can make ourselves unnoticeable, I have my costume but maybe I could make a few changes." Damian answer and ponder already liking the thought of going back into action.
"You already know my answer," Jason says leaning on a wall.
"As much as I would like to...." Richard started. "What if we can't handle it?" He's thinking.
"Look we got each other backs right? I say we can do some small things. Why not stop a mugging or two. We patrol our block to stop any bad things and come back home. We've done it for how long?" I add not sure if it'll be a good idea because Bruce's punishments.
"You don't sound sure." Barbs comments to my response.
"I'm not. I miss doing what we did, but Richard is right. We don't know what we are up against. We don't even know how much of a hell hole our lives are going to be. School and crime fighting with no grownups around while we're at school."
"So what then?" Damian questions all of us.
"I say we wait," Richard concluded.
"Fine I'll wait, but if something happens and I can stop it, I'm going to stop it," Jason says looking bored.
"Fine by me." Richard ends the meeting and we all go on with the rest of our night.

Getting ready for bed I couldn't help but wonder "would Raph even still be friends with me if he found out who I am? Who my parents are?"
I look at my ring, I feel torn. I want him to like me, but I don't want to lie about who I am.
