"There has been a massive recall on First Results pregnancy test due to false positive." I made my way up to my room as Damian flipped the channel. Grabbing my phone I look up the news I just heard. Biting the inside of my cheek I decide to get another test. If that one is positive then I'll triple check at a doctor's office.

"Okay one positive by first results and two negative by the pharmacy brand. I should have just gone to the doctors." Barbara enters my room. "(Y/n) are you okay?" Rushing out of my bathroom, "yea why?" I ask her. "What are you hiding her arms crossed as she eyes me suspiciously. "I was peeing." I answer matching her energy by crossing my own arms. She leaves my room, knowing her I can't leave yet. Throwing away the evidence I bag it in another plastic bag before heading out. Throwing the bag in the neighbors trash I quickly jump into my car and go the women's clinic.

My phone went off a few times but I continue to ignore it out of fear that someone will know or somehow effect my results. As the Doctor came in she gave me my results. I cry a little before thanking her. She gave me some pamphlets before I left. Driving home felt wrong. I wanted to just jump to the next part not be here at a red light as a road is blocked off. The horns of the surrounding cars kept my minding busy. My phone pinged again with another new message I still didn't dare look. Not until I made it home. Usually I would put on my Spotify playlist but out of fear of reading a single message I turned on the radio. Something else I've also been avoiding. "That's right folks last night Batman and his rag tag of Heroes have saved us once again." "That's right April, and it seems he recruited some giants looking turtles." I froze once again. Everything has changed once again. Looking at my hand I had on my promise ring from my mom. Taking a deep breath I began driving as the light finally turned green.

Entering through the front door kicking my shoes off, I'm met with silence, and all the lights off. Going to my bedroom I flopped onto my mattress I see a message from everyone that they're stepping out. Locking my phone I curl into my blankets. Raphael will come by later tonight him and his brothers decided to stay home after everything and be with their dad. I know April probably asked them to stay low to keep away from reporters who may have questions about how they met Batman and how they became mutants. I wanted to stay with them but Batman pulled me away before I could follow them. I begged Bruce to let me go or at least check on them but he refused. I could leave right now. Not a single soul to stop me expect for my exhaustion. I barely slept and with everything I have going on I don't think I can leave the comfort of my bed.

Waking in the darkness I'm surrounded by silence still. Grabbing my phone I check the time. No phone call or a text. I call Raphael to check on him but no answer. Biting the inside of my cheeks I call Venus maybe she heard from them.
"Hey (y/n)." She answers.
"Hey V, uh have you heard from the guys. I tried calling but I didn't get an answer."
"No I'm at my apartment right now, do you mind coming over everything just feels off." She admits to me.
"I know exactly what you mean." I answer her before getting off my mattress. "Yea I'll be over there soon. I honestly need to see someone it's so empty here and I think we need to talk about what next." I admit myself.
"Thank you. Seriously how hard is it to stay together. We killed people." Her voice cracks and that when we realized why we feel off. The blood on our hands. And not just anyone's blood. It was the blood of heroes or who once were. Then I wonder if Raphael is avoiding me for this reason.

Parking in the guest parking I enter the apartment complex. The door swings open before I can knock. Her arms embrace me I never realized how much I needed a hug. Times passes before we let go and enter the privacy of her home. "After I got off the phone with you I tried calling Donnie. I got no answer either." She eyes looked glass over I probably look no different. Sitting on a bar stool as warm tea waited for us. I hold the mug in my hands, "I took a pregnancy test." I blurt out to my half sister who froze about to sip, before slowly lowering her mug down. Her eyes were wide and staring at me as if she just saw a ghost. "Does Raphael know!" She exclaimed out. I shook my head before looking down at the warm mug. "I need to see him. I want to tell him the results before anyone else." I admit to Venus. "Does anyone else know?" Lowering her voice knowing now that she may be the few people who knew. "Barbara is suspicious of something. I threw away the evidence but I know she'll find away to figuring things out." I tell her. "What about our moms?" She continues to whisper. "Not yet, honestly I'm sure if I can even keep a pregnancy with him. He's mutant and I don't know what it'll do to me." I hint my concern. The realization that a mutant pregnancy might kill us made her look away from me. "I didn't think about that, we're not exactly normal ourselves." She says the last part louder since she's right. Not everyone can do what we can do, so the question now is how human are we.
