Promise (Raphael X Reader)

After a week of no school, Bruce allowed us to take hybrid classes online and on Campus. Meaning now me and the boys are studying in the study during the day mostly, but sadly we have Barbara and Richard helping us study when they are home so we can finish faster.
"(Y/n), for the last time put away your phone, unless you want to tell me who you're texting?" Richard smirked he knew I was not sharing anytime soon.
I stick out my tongue and put away my phone.
Of course, it's been like this for the rest of September and beginning of October, which means it is almost time for my favorite holiday. Maybe I could convince Raphael to come out with me. I thought as Barbara is going through the periodic table with me.

Nights have been the usual hanging out with Raph or going on dates with him depending on if anyone is home. Tonight everyone is home.
"So what do you want to do tonight?" I ask my red-clad boyfriend.
"I don't know what can we do?" He questions me. It is hard having a mutant as a boyfriend, mostly since he can't be seen, and he could wear a disguise, but sometimes it's pretty obvious something is off.
I shrug opening Google maps on my phone I look through to see if there are any local events. I see there is one for drive-thru movie and the movie is The Conjuring. It was probably since Halloween is coming up.
"Hey, there's a drive-thru movie theater, they're showing a scary moving tonight." I excitedly suggested.
"How, people we notice a 6'6 giant person in front?" He questions me.
"That's the best part it's a drive-thru theater so that means we are in a car the whole time." I answer him.
"That sounds cool, but no offense I won't exactly fit in your Audi." He then said.
"That's why we'll take one of Bruce's cars, the glass is extremely tinted, and he has a few huge SUVs that I think you'll fit in after we adjust the seat and done." I smile at him imaging going with him without a disguise.
"Please don't smile at me like that, I love your smile, but I really don't want to disappoint ya."
I almost frowned until "Wait you love my smile." I tease him, I could tell he was embarrassed.
"Come on let's just see if I can fit in any of those cars." He gruffed a bit before going out the window.

Sneaking into the garage I look at the biggest SUV here and it looks like it's the Land Rover Range Rover, not my favorite but if it works I don't care.
"Raph lets try this one." I call out to him as he was looking at the other cars we have.
I rear the seat as back as it can go, lower it and lastly recline it back. He looks through the door and seems unsure how to get in, taking a leap of faith he enters going sideways when he finally settled himself in the seat it was almost perfect. I recline the seat back a little bit more.
"So?" I question him as I bit my bottom lip.
"I actually fit in here... I mean I actually have headroom and legroom." He sat there with a smile on his face.
"Does that mean we get to go?" I question him. Lifting me onto his lap he kisses me.
"Yes, we get to go." He answers.

After we found out Raphael can fit in a car I grabbed a small book bag and put in our favorite snacks, then before leaving I left a note saying I was going to see a movie.
As we pulled up to the stand to buy tickets Raphael had on his trench coat and fedora disguise.
"That'll be $25." the young boy told me.
Pulling out my card, he swipes and points us where we can park since we have Bluetooth in the car.
"I can't believe I'm doin' this? If Leo finds out I'm dead." Raphael started again as we left the ticket stand.
"Raphie relax, the windows are tinted so no one will see you clearly, plus since the car has blue tooth we won't have to roll the windows down to hear the movie." I told him once again. I sighed, "If you don't want to do this we can go." I gave in.
I stopped to the car ready to change gears until a finger goes under my chin, "No, I want to be here with ya. It's just that I have never done anythin' like this before." I look towards him looking for any sign of regret or pleading, he smiles at me to reassure me that we will have this date. Putting the car back in drive we continue to our spot.
