"Edward, stop glaring at him." I said under my breath. I was pretending to pay attention to the teacher. Edward, on the other hand, was obviously glaring daggers at Mike across the room.

Edward turned his eyes back to the teacher, though I knew he wasn't paying much attention. He had been glaring at Mike every time we were in the same room for the past four days. Not that I blamed him.

"It's Friday, and he hasn't talked to me since what happened on Monday. I think he got the point." I whispered. I only received an angered sigh in response. I rolled my eyes and copied down the assignment the teacher had written on the board.

The teacher finally stopped lecturing and allowed us to talk and work on the assignment. I turned towards Edward again to see that he had resumed his previous activity of mentally threatening Mike.

"Edward, seriously, stop. I am sure he gets the point." I sighed. He turned and looked at me.

"I still don't understand how you are so calm about this." He then took out a piece of paper and started the homework.

"We can talk about it later at home." I turned back to my paper and finished just as the bell rang.

"See you after school." I said as we parted ways in the hall. He nodded and kept walking to his next class.

I just couldn't understand why he was still so upset. Sure, Mike had kissed me, but he finally got the hint. That was worth it in my book.

The rest of the day passed rather quickly. Mike didn't try to talk to me. I didn't injure myself or anyone else in gym, which was always an achievement.

Edward decided to go hunting after school, hopefully taking the time to clear his mind. I spent some time reading in the living room then eating dinner before retreating to my bedroom.

I put on my pajamas and sat on my bed, reading again. I was lost in the world of my book when I heard a light tapping on my window. I jumped and looked up to see Edward on the other side of my sliding glass door. I made my way over and let him in.

"How was hunting?" I asked as he passed me. He shrugged and sat on the edge of my bed. I sighed, closing the door and sat next to him.

"Are you going to talk to me or keep sulking?"

"You already know why I'm upset." He looked at me.

"Actually, at this point, it remains a bit unclear. Are you more upset that Mike kissed me or is it the fact that I am not dwelling on it like you seem to be doing?" I looked him in the eye.

"Other than your initial reaction, it doesn't seem to bother you. You act like it never happened at all." He looked at me in disbelief.

"Of course it happened and of course I am still pissed about it. But because of that, he hasn't talked to me in days. I would rather it be the way it is than for him to be nagging me to go out with him every day."

"I guess it is nice not having him interrupt us all the time." He confessed.

"Why are you so bothered by it anyway?" I looked at him curiously.

"I hate the way he thinks about you. He doesn't deserve you like he thinks he does. He thinks of you as some prize that only he should be able to win. It disgusts me." He was nearly growling.

"Now that you mention it. What has he been thinking of since he stopped talking to me?" I asked.

"He thinks you were playing hard to get and will beg him to be your boyfriend soon. He thinks he won you over with his kiss." He grimaced. I thought back to how upset he looked when I turned him down.

"But he looked so heartbroken." I stated.

Edward rolled his eyes, "He was pretending. He wanted to make you feel bad. He may try to talk to you again next week if you don't talk to him first."

"He is such a jerk," I sighed, flopping back to lay across the bed, "I can't believe he took my first kiss."

"Don't remind me." Edward grumbled as he laid down next to me.

"Is Eddie jealous?!" Someone gasped a moment later.

I jumped up to see Emmett at the door. He had a smug look on his face. I looked over at Edward to see him glaring daggers at Emmett.

"Get out before I remove you." Edward growled at Emmett, who was already gone when I looked back.

I studied Edward's face as he looked at everything but me. What reason could he possibly have to be jealous? Was he jealous of that Mike got my first kiss? That couldn't have been it. There was no way that he would think of me in that way. He had helped to raise me after all.

"What is Emmett talking about?" I asked.

"Nothing," Edward mumbled, "Emmett is just being Emmett." He continued to avoid eye contact with me.

Edward suddenly stood up and started walking to the door. He looked over his shoulder, "I'll be right back."

I sighed and laid back down on my bed and looked at the ceiling. A minute or two passed and a wave of exhaustion came over me. It had been a very long week. While I had gotten a break from Mike, the stress of trying to get Edward to say more than a few words at a time had taken it's toll. I was nearly asleep when Edward came back into my room. He chuckled when he saw me in my nearly unconscious state and pulled a blanket over me.

"What were you doing?" I asked him groggily.

"Kate called. Tanya finally showed up at the house." He sat next to me on the bed, looking down at me.

I smiled, "I'm glad she came back. I was worried that she wouldn't come back at all and they would blame me."

"They would never blame you, Bella." Edward reassured me. He reached up to brush some hair off my face, "We can talk about this more tomorrow. You need to sleep." I nodded and he started to get up.

"Stay." I mumbled, reaching for his hand. He smiled and took my warm hand in his cold one.

"Of course." He sat back down next to me. I closed my eyes again and quickly began to fall asleep again.

I felt a cool, light pressure on my forehead as I slipped into unconsciousness.

Hey guys!!! I wrote another chapter!!! I have some exciting plans for this book and I am eager to continue.

So, I realized that I have no clue how to write about love. I have never been in a relationship to know how it should work. I have next to no experience. Please bear with me while I figure this out.

Thank you for all you support. It really means a lot. I can't wait to give you more chapters.
