Chapter 19

I am so sorry if you got a notification that I updated. This chapter was accidently published unfinished for a minute or so. I had dropped my phone and published the chapter in the processof catching it. Lol sorry.

The ride to Seattle was short, just like every other car ride in this family. I rode with Esme, Carmen, Rosalie, and Tanya while Kate and Irina rode with Alice. Naturally Tanya glared at me whenever the others weren't looking. She didn't have to shield her thoughts now.

Everything was going fine, other than Tanya's glares and my hatred for shopping. Alice and Rosalie did their usual "dress up Bella" routine, but this time joined by Kate and Irina. Carmen and Esme were entertained just by watching us. Tanya talked with the others and ignored me when she wasn't glaring.

Alice forced me into everything pink and frilly. I only let her buy me things I liked, which, to her dismay, were not pink.

After shopping all afternoon, Esme reminded Alice that I need dinner. I got some food from the food court.

We found a table that would hold all of us and sat down. I was put between Esme and Tanya.

"Bella please let me buy you something pink." Alice begged for the hundreth time today.

"You already know my answer." I took a sip of my pop while looking her in the eyes.

She groaned and leaned back in her chair.

Esme laughed beside me, "You should know better than to ask at this point."

Alice's eyes suddenly glazed over and she stared into space. We all knew that she was seeing something in the future. She snapped out of it and smiled widely.

"There is going to be a sale starting in a few minutes at Sephora." Alice squealed.

I rolled my eyes, "You don't need more make-up, or any at all."

I found Alice and Rosalie's need for make-up unnecessary as they were already perfect. I didn't want it either. I only used mascara and blush regularly, everything else feels like too much.

"We need to go!" Rosalie exclaimed.

"Carmen and I were planning on going to look for some new wallpaper for the kitchen." Esme added.

"You guys go ahead. I'll stay here and catch up with you later." I suggested. If they wanted to go, I wouldn't hold them back, not that I could.

"Are you sure?" Esme asked, "We can wait for you to finish."

"It's fine. I could use a break anyway." I laughed.

"Alright. See you soon." Esme kissed my head and everyone dispersed. Tanya however, stayed where she was.

We sat in tense silence as I tried to keep eating but suddenly lost my appetite. I looked up to see her glaring at me again. I turned away quickly and sighed.

"What did I say about staying away from Edward?" She asked, voice sickeningly sweet.

"I'm trying." I murmured.

"Not hard enough." She growled.

"I don't know what more I can do. Besides, you're leaving in a few days." That was the wrong thing to say.

I watched as Tanya had to physically restrain herself from hitting me. I knew she only stopped because we were in a public place.

I sat there wide eyed, afraid to do anything else. I could feel my heart race and she took pleasure in the fact that she scared me.
