Chapter 13

Emmett's POV

I walked up the stairs, heading for Bella's room. I wanted to play a game with her and she wanted to explore the house.

I got to her room and I stopped in the open doorway, looking at Bella who was sitting in a chair, reading a book.

"Bella, to you want to play 'hide and hit'?" I asked loudly, startling her.

She smiled and nodded her head eagerly.

'Hide and hit' was a game that Bella had created when she was 4. I had given her an inflatable bat for her first birthday and as a joke, I have given her one every year. She decided to create a game to use them.

To play the game, one person would hide and the other would seek but when the hider was found, the seeker had to hit them with the bat. When Bella hid, she usually got help from the others to help her get away from me.

"Me first." Bella exclaimed. She ran off to hide.

I grabbed a bat off of a shelf and waited for a minute before I went after her.

I walked silently out of the room. I knew where she was because I could hear her heart beat but I decided that I would follow her scent slowly.

I walked down the hall and I noticed that Edward's scent joined hers. That meant that he is with her and she would be harder to catch.

I decided to go straight to her. I ran down the hall and stopped in the doorway of the library where I knew she was.

Edward was sitting at the table, and I could see Bella's feet under the table. Edward nudged Bella with her foot and she crawled out from under the table. Edward picked her up and started running away.

I ran after them and I could hear Bella laughing.

Every time I would get close to them Edward would speed up enough to get away from me.

I finally caught up to them enough to tap Bella on the shoulder.

"No." Bella squealed.

Edward and I stopped running and I gave the bat to Bella.

"My turn." I smiled and took off towards the closest door to the outside and launched myself onto the roof.

"Eddie, help me." I heard Bella whisper. I heard them coming outside and I jumped into the trees.

"Hey, no fair." Bella complained.

I smiled and looked at her. "You are the one who is being unfair." I stuck out my tongue. I leaped from tree to tree, further into the forest. I eventually circled around back to the house. I landed on Bella's balcony and looked around for the duo. I heard a heartbeat above me so I looked up to see Bella tap my face with the bat.

"Gotcha" Bella giggled. Edward hopped off the roof and gently set Bella down. Bella ran into her room and put the bat back on the shelf then turned back to us.

"Can we play another game?" She asked.

"Anything you want." Edward answered.

Bella smiled, "Tea party."

I groaned quietly so Bella wouldn't hear me.

"Just play." Edward whispered to me.

'Fine.' I thought.

Edward and I walked over and sat down at a little table in the middle of Bella's room.

Bella dug through one of her toy boxes and pulled out a little apron and a toy tea set. She set up the table and sat down with us.

"Would you like some tea Emmett?" Bella asked me.

I decided I would make this fun.

"Why, of coarse, thank you." I replied in my best 'obnoxious girl' impression.

Bella giggled and poured invisible tea in to my cup. I pulled my cup up to my mouth and put up my pinky. I pretended to drink out of the cup and set it down.

"Delightful." I declared in the voice.

Bella giggled even more.

"Would you like some tea, Edward." Bella asked, turning and looking expectantly at Edward.

"Yes, please." Edward answered.

Bella poured his tea and he pretended to take a sip.

"Isn't this tea just delicious?" I asked Edward.

"Yes, quite." He replied, refusing to use anything but his normal voice.

Bella poured her own tea, raised her small pinky finger in the air, and held the cups out.

"Cheers." She declared.

Edward and I touched our cups to hers. She smiled and drank out of the cup and we did the same.

"Bella, it's time for lunch." Esme said, appearing at the doorway.

"But tea-time is so lovely this time of day." I responded in my girly voice.

Esme smiled while Bella bust into laughter. Edward stood up and picked up a giggling Bella.

"You need to eat now." Edward told her and followed Esme downstairs to the dining room.

I stood up and followed them, thinking about what we should do next.

Hey guys, I AM SOOOO SORRY!!! I meant to update a long time ago but I didn't think I would be as busy as I have been. I have not forgotten about this story or any others. I am also working on the things for the contest winners.I think they deserve better chapters to be dedicated to than this one. I am working on so many things but I hope to be able to work on this more by I can't make any promises. Again, I apologize for taking so long.
