That One Snap

Chapter 9

                       Not alone after all
It was probably someone coming over to laugh and make fun of me...my hair was blowing in the wind and tears were running down my cheeks and when I turned around I realized it was Brennen, Sam and Colby and when they saw me I looked like complete Hell...my mascara was running down my cheeks and my nose was red because it was cold and there was snow on the ground and my eyes were red...they looked and me with their jaws dropped and then they ran over to me

Sam-"are you ok? What happened?"
You-"um...nothing I'm fine."
Colby-"you don't look fine...were you crying?"
You-"maybe, maybe not"
Brennen-"come on tell us..please"
You-"ugh fine...it's just my life, ok!...it's messed up, I don't know why I'm in this world anyway..I don't even belong here!..I always get made fun of! And I'm tired of it!"

They started to tear up a little bit but they stayed strong and wiped the tears away.

Sam-"oh...I'm sorry.."
Brennen and Colby-"ya were sorry to.."
Me-"it's ok...you can bully me too I'm used to it.."
All of them-"NO WAY IN HELL WE WOULD NEVER BULLY YOU!"
Me-"why not? I'm just a lonely b*tch who has no one to protect me.."
Colby-"we'll guess what..we are here for you..so you're not alone after all.."
Me-"thanks guys...I guess I should just head home so I won't bother you guys anymore."

I started to walk away slowly...I looked at the ground and just walked.

Colby,Sam and Brennen-"YO! Wait up!!"
Me-"what is it?"
Sam-" why don't we all become really good friends?"
Me-"I guess...I've never had any friends before"
All of them-"whattttt?!"
Me-"ya...I told you I'm lonely.."
Colby-"why don't you just hang out with Brennen, Sam and I?"
Me-"why me?"
Brennen-"because...you're our friend, and that's what friends do."
Me-"oh ok...what should we do?"
Sam-"let's go to Brennens place!"
Me-"oh ok...I guess"

We all walked to Colby's car and Brennen decided to drive and Sam called shotgun so Colby had to sit in the back with me...it was kinda awkward but I liked it, I just stared out the window
and out of no where Colby taps my shoulder and I jumped and screamed...the reason why I did it, is because that's where my stepdad
hit me with his belt...and every time someone touched the spot it would sting really bad

Colby-"SKYLER! I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to scare you!...did I hurt you?!"
Me-"no...um..."
Colby-"what?"
Me-"I just have a bruise there"

Colby turned to face me and then he pulled my sweater down so he could see the mark or as I should say "bruise".

Colby-"oh my god!"
Me-"what is it?"
Colby-"Skyler...is someone hurting you?...like beating you?"
