Chapter 24

Tears
It has been a few days since I've been in the hospital and today we are allowed to go home for the first time in a few days...Sam has stayed with me and Colby each night just to make sure we are safe and that nothing happened.
All I did in the hospital was lay there and play on my phone or sleep all day
but today I decided I could just get ready for the day to begin...Sam brought me some clothes to wear because my other ones are in the trash because they were all bloody

I guess these were nice clothes? Well at least I have clothes to wear

Sam came in the room and told me we were leaving and I just nodded my head without saying anything...Colby just looked at me and smiled with the cutest smirk on his face.
Once we got in the car I closed my eyes
and started drifting off to sleep

*BUZZZZZZ BUZZZZZZZ!!*

It was my phone...it wasn't Danny calling...it was mom calling..

Me-"hello?"
Random guy-"yes is this Skyler Bonnell?"
Me-"yes who is this?"
Random guy-"i work with your mother...it's Will"
Me-"oh ya...why did you call me for?"
Will-"it's your mother...she's dead."

Those word repeated rapidly in my head 'she's dead' tears started filling my eyes

Me-"u-um t-thank you for telling me...I will contact my family members as soon as possible"
Will-"ok..no problem, sorry for your loss, have a good evening"
Me"y-you too, bye"

I hung up and I slammed my phone on the car floor and screamed

Sam-"what's your problem?!"

Sam slammed on the breaks and he was confused

Me-"SHUT UP SAM!"

I got out of the car, slammed the door and fell on my knees and covered my eyes with my hands and screamed as loud as I could and I started sobbing, I knew something terrible would happen to her!
I heard Colby come running behind me

Me-"what do you want Colby?"
Colby-"what happened?"
Me-"why would you want to know?!"
Colby-"because I care...just please tell me what's going on"
Me-"SHES DEAD!"

I yelled with tears in my eyes again, he started tearing up

Colby-"w-what do you mean?"
Me-"my mother is dead!"
Colby-"oh my god...I'm so sorry.."

He looks down at the ground and starts crying...I seriously never seen him cry this much before. That's it. My life is now over. The most important and lovable person ever. Is gone.
