2nd POV

After a while, Yami and the trio arrived safely at Dolle Harbour. You, Kurapika and Leorio walked off after saying their thanks to the captain to look around the city while Gon stayed behind talking to the captain.

The four of you were deciding to either head towards the tree and believe the captain or take the bus according to the notice. While Leorio was talking, out of nowhere you got tackled to the ground.

"Yami! Are yo- why is there a wolf here!?" shouted Leorio.

"Ah-hh, it's alright" you assured the old teen. "Spade, I didn't think that you followed me all the way here." you turned your attention to the big wolf.

"Wait... you know this fella?" questioned Kurapika after calming himself down.

"Yea, I met him a long time ago and he stuck around me ever since." you explained.

"Wahh, it looks so cool. Can I pet him?" Gon asked.

"It will depend on Spade here." you said and got off the floor.

The wolf walked over to Gon and the rest to sniff them, somehow it figured that they are not anyone suspicious and decided to rub its head at Gon for him to pat. Gon patted the wolf and wasted no more time and turn back towards the map.

"I'm sure he(the captain) told me to head towards that cedar tree." Gon said as he pointed at the map.

The three continued to debate which way to go but you have already made up your mind.

"I decide to trust the captain and head towards the tree. Don't ask, it's a gut feeling." you said as you start to walk away. "You better make up your minds fast, we don't have much time to reach the exam site."

"I'll go have a look as well. The captain must have had a reason to suggest that." Gon said as he walked towards you.

The both of you wave at Kurapika and Leorio without turning our backs and head towards the tree. Kurapika joined your group a minute less and left Leorio behind. Another few minutes later, the old man ran up to you guys saying that "Well, I knew you guys would be lonely without me. And it's no fun traveling alone. So I decided to stick with you guys a while longer."

"It definitely sounds like an excuse to me." you thought to yourself as you lead the way with Gon.

Yami POV

As we walk along a town, there was no sound, it's completely deserted. If a stupid person walked past, they would probably think that everyone is dead or the town was attacked. As we walked along the streets, a wooden... carriage? Came out with an old lady and multiple people wearing masks on.

"Wh-what's with the freak show?" Leorio asked quietly.

"Exciting two-choice quiz!" the old lady shouts.

"Wah my ears."

The four of us were staring at the lady dumb struck, having no idea what is going on. "You four are headed for that tree on the hill correct? To reach the tree, you must pass through this town. I shall administer a single-question quiz." the lady explained.

"H-hold on! What's going on here?" Leorio questioned.

"You'll have five seconds to state your answer. Give the wrong answer, and you're disqualified. You'll have to give up on taking this year's Hunter Exam." (old lady)

"I see... then this is part of the Hunter Exam." (Kurapika)

"I see how it is. I happen to be a quiz expert. Wait. only one question?" Leorio said as he put down his case.
