Yami POV

"I knew that this would be boring, couldn't even go all out on training..." I complained for the nth time this hour and there's still a day before the phase end.

"Ahhhhhhh, I'm itching to release my nen! But that will just attract Hisoka back here like a shark with blood... that won't be good, and Illumi is still here..."

"Where is Spade when you need h–" I cut myself off, remember the certain past event. "Forget I ever said that... once they leave you, they'll never come back... just like mum and dad. They're all dead to me now." I muttered to myself as I laid back down against the tree I've claimed to be mine for the last few days.

Spade POV

"Where is Spade when you need h–" I heard Yami said to herself as my whole self became more alert. "Forget I ever said that... once they leave you, they'll never come back... just like mum and dad. They're all dead to me now." I then heard her said even though the last part was quieter than the rest of the sentence.

Hearing what she's saying to herself made my heart sink, regretting my decisions and wishing I can be there for her up close instead of watching her like this.

"I'm sorry, Yami but this have to happen. I'll explain to you once this phase finished, I hope you'll understand then." I apologised to her through the nonexistence mind link.

Yami POV

"You know what? This is too boring, I'm going to explore again and maybe find one of my other friends..." I thought as I stood up and started to run around the island at a reasonable pace where I can see perfectly well without my surroundings becoming a blur.

The first person I found was not who I wanted to see.

"Hi there Tonpa, you must be having quite a nice time there laying down and relaxing." I teased the fat man before running off again, not hearing what I get as a response.

Soon after I saw two of my friends, a blonde and black hair boy to be exact, waiting outside of what seemed to be a cave.

"Gon! Kurapika! It's been a while huh?" I said as I slowed down and waved at the two.

"Hi there Yami... wait, can we come near you now?" Kurapika asked, purely out of concern.

"Yup! I won't be attacking anyone for a while." I answered. "So... what are you guys doing here?"

"Leorio's target is in there and he wanted to do it on his own but it's been nearly thirty minutes already..." Gon said worriedly.

As if on cue, we heard Leorio shout. "Kurapika! Gon! Don't come in!" the three of us, completely ignoring his words ran straight in.

Once we entered the open area, we saw him lying on the ground with a lot of bites over his body.

"You fools... why did you enter the cave?" he said with struggle.

"They're vipers. Their poison isn't that strong. But he's been bitten too many times!" me and Gon said in sync again but this is not the time to make fun of it.

As Gon suck out the venom, I ran over to where Leorio's suitcase is at.

"S-stop it. If you have any cavities or open wounds in your mouth..." Leorio warned.

"No problem!" Gon said as he showed his perfectly fine teeth.

"Yami... what are you doing here?" Leorio asked slowly.

"Shhh, it's ok. Relax a bit so your blood will flow slower." I said soothing the older teen as I rummage through his bag searching for the right serums.
