Vic's POV
I check my phone again, feeling a little anxious. I've cleared my schedule and I've left Kellin a thousand voicemails, yet nothing.
I don't know how much longer I can sit here worrying for.
Thankfully, I get a call from Kellin's mom.
"Hey, is everything okay?" I ask her, trying not to sound too desperate.
"He's just gone quiet. He trashed his room and now he won't get out of bed and he won't say anything." she explains sounding hopeless.
"Would you like me to come over?" I ask her.
"That would be great." she sighs.
"I'm on my way now." I tell her.
I hang up and pull my keys from my pocket as I race outside. I can't waste any more time, not while Kellin needs me. I drive to his house which thankfully isn't that far then race up to his front door. I knock urgently and but nearly immediately get an answer.
"He's up in his room." Kellin's mom sighs glumly.
I don't waste any time and head for the stairs. I go down to Kellin's room and don't bother knocking before I enter. He's laying in bed on his side, wrapped up in his blankets and he's staring ahead of him. He glances at me and looks a little relieved. I look around the room and notice that everything has been knocked over or broken.
I sit on the floor in front of Kellin and he just stares at me.
"Darling, I need you to talk to me. I need you to tell me what's wrong." I urge.
He stares at me for a minute before he rolls over, facing away from me.
"Kells, if this is something I did, I'm so sorry, baby. I would never hurt you intentionally." I tell him, getting a little teary. "I can't help unless you talk to me."
I sniff and clear my throat which makes Kellin turn to me. He looks worried as I wipe my tears away. He surprises me by extending his hand towards me. I get the hint and take his hand in mine. His eyes fill with tears that silently begin cascading down his cheeks.
He sits up and unravels himself from his blankets. Then he kisses my hand softly.
"You can't help this time, Vic." he whispers then he slides off his bed and races out the door.
I jump to my feet but by the time I'm at the stairs, he's already out the front door.
I race down the stairs and out to the sidewalk, looking left and right but I don't see Kellin anywhere. I hurry back inside and find Kellin's mom in the living room.
"Kellin just left." I tell her.
"Where? Where is he going?" she screeches.
"I don't know." I sigh, trying not to get upset. "Maybe you could call him."
"I have his phone." she tells me.
"You have his phone?" I ask confused and a little frustrated.
Maybe he would have called or texted me if he had his phone. And now we don't know where he is or have any means to contact him.
"I confiscated it after he shoved me." she says.
"He shoved you?" I ask shocked.
"I was just checking on him and he shoved me repeatedly and then slammed the door in my face." she explains.
This is completely out of character for Kellin which just makes me even more worried.
"I'm going to try to figure out which girl he was studying with last night. She might be able to explain why he's acting like this." she says.
