4 YEARS LATER
———
"And that night was the last time we were all happy together," Jungkook says as the bartender wipes a glass off as Jungkook pours his life story on him."You know, you didn't have to tell me every detail," the old man says as he throws the towel over his shoulder, "you do know the bar is closed, right?"
Jungkook slowly looked around in his drunken state, "Oh, where did everyone go?"
"Home. Like you should be doing," the man says, grabbing the half empty beer bottle that sat in front of Jungkook, "do you want me to call you a cab?"
Jungkook huffs and steps off the stool, "Nah. I don't live too far," Jungkook says as he stumbles around the tables.
The old man sighs, "Kid, you need some help?"
"Nah!"
Jungkook bust through the door, the warm breeze of the night hitting his face. Jungkook coughed and took out his phone, frowning when he didn't see any messages.
Why would he see any though? He hasn't talked to them in three years.
Jungkook walked to his motorcycle that Yoongi gave him after he graduated, and drove home.
Luckily, Jungkook safely made it to his small apartment, walking inside and plopping on the couch with a groan.
Jungkook was sad. He was lonely and barely getting by. He had graduated his community college and now he worked a basic job. He was a trainer at the gym, but luckily he got a little local attention.
Jungkook never really moved far from the town he grew up in. He was thirty minutes away from all the high school memories.
Jungkook took his jacket off, looking over at the drunken tattoo he got about two years ago. It was both of their initials. PJ + KT.
Jungkook sighed and stood up, slowly taking off his clothes on his way to he bathroom. Jungkook had gotten pretty buff. He wasn't a teenager anymore. He had big, board shoulders and large muscles on his arms. Boxing helped a lot with the process.
Jungkook looked at his face in the dirty bathroom mirror. God, he needed to clean it. Jungkook's eyes always went to the scar on his cheek that he got in one of his matches. He almost lost.
Jungkook quickly showered and put sweats on, walking over to his bed. Before turning his lamp off, he looked at the framed picture of him, Jimin, and Taehyung laughing in Jimin's old bedroom.
Jungkook's heart clenched every night before the room goes pitch black.
Jungkook wonders if he would ever see them again.
———
Jungkook was boxing on Thursday evening when the news on the t.v got his attention.
"Rapper RM was seen leaving the new Park Studios last night," a lady said, showing a picture of Namjoon in a large coat, walking out of a building, "there have been rumors that RM was dating. Could it be the new, hot CEO, Park Jimin?"
Jungkook's eyes widen at the picture of Jimin in a tight suit, talking on his phone as he walked to a familiar car. A large black Range Rover.
Jungkook blinked and looked away from the screen. His heart was beating fast. He hasn't heard or seen Namjoon and Jimin in three years. That's the first he's ever heard about Jimin.
Namjoon and Yoongi were two of the most popular celebrities, even though they aren't a duo anymore. They soared quickly and topped the charts easily. People loved them. Girls were obsessed. They were both known everywhere in the world.
Jungkook had all of their albums downloaded and has watched all of their videos. Jungkook has tried to reach out, but it seems they have changed their numbers. Not that he blames them. They had to keep it safe.
Jungkook has tried to text Jimin and Taehyung through the years, but it seems he's blocked from Taehyung and Jimin never responded.
Jungkook doesn't understand what really happened. The first year was hard, but they called and texted frequently even though they all went to different places. But after a while, things got dryer and dryer until there was no contact at all.
Jungkook needed to talk to them.
So, when he got home, he looked up Park Studios and found out where it was in Seoul. He needed to see him.
Jungkook decided that he was going to visit Jimin. Jungkook needed an explanation. He needed to know what happen and why it did.
He still loved them.
But did they still love him?
