I sit silently in the passenger seat of my mums silver van. She is driving me to my first therapy session. Ever since my mental breakdown, she has been worrying about me non-stop. It's been three days and she scheduled the session as soon as she could grab her phone.

I have never been in therapy before. I have heard a lot of people make fun of it and say it's a man continuously asking "And how does that make you feel?"

She pulls into the parking lot and I get out of the car. We walk into the therapeutic building and I see three smaller children and two boys looking my age or older. I sit in a chair that is aligned on the wall. There are toys placed in the middle of the room for the smaller children. Tables are aced next to each row of chairs that have magazines placed on them. On the left side of the room is the front desk and a door is next to it.

My mum presses a button which makes a buzzing noise on the wall and sits next to me. About five minutes later, the door opens and a man looking to be in his flurries walks out.

"Cassidy Waltz?" He asks as he looks at a clipboard that is in his hands. I stand and leave my mum and join the man in a private room. I sit down on a couch and he sits across from me in a computer chair. "Now, Cassidy, by what I have been told, you have recently suffered a...breakdown. Is that correct?"

"Yes." I answer. The session goes on by him asking me questions about how I am feeling, what I do during the day, my friends, and...Matthew.

After the session, I walk back out to the waiting room and see my mum. She signs some papers at the desk and we leave.

"How was it?" She asks as she drives the car.

"Fine." I say.

The ride is silent after that.
