"There is a point in life where you realize that everything is real. Now, this may be when you are four months old and you first discover that you have hands. And it may be when you are eighteen when you start going to college or just get out of high school. You realize that this person and life that you have made up over the years is what you are going to be for the rest of your life. Whether you love your blonde hair and model body or hate your the people who are in your life, including yourself.

"When I realized this, I was fifteen. It was when I started high school and everything was on my shoulders. Now, I am graduating as a strong person who loves their life even though I don't have blonde hair or a model body. So, I just have one thing to leave here...love yourself."

"What do you think?" Danny asks as she finishes.

"It's great but, the end of the year is a month away." I laugh.

"I know but I just wanted to get this off my chest." Danny sighs.

She is telling me her valedictorian speech for her graduation. Danny is sixteen. She has skipped two school years since she already knew everything about anything.

"Alright, so did your parents say yes to Magcon?" She asks with a big smile.

"Yeah. They went over to Matthews house to talk to his parents about it and everything is set." I smile.

"Did you meet his parents?" She asks.

"No. They went without telling me." I sigh.

"Has Matthew, said it." She asks.

"What do you mean by 'it'?"

"You know...the L word." She laughs.

"I still have no idea what you are talking about." She grabs my shoulders and shakes me to the rhythm of her voice as she replies, "Has he said 'I love you' yet!"

"Oh. No. Isn't it too early? We have been dating for about three weeks or so."

"It's never too early! Unless it's been a day."

Danny has been coming over for the past few days to talk to me about Matthew and Carter and Magcon.

The bullying at school has gone down by a lot. Is it because of Matthew?

"Well I better get home. I will see you on Monday!" She says as she walks out of the front door. I am left sitting alone on the living room couch. There is a knock on the door and I bet it's Danny. I stand and walk to the wooden block.

I open it and Nash is standing in the doorway.

"Nash? What are you doing here?" I ask. He smiles and looks behind me. His smile disappears and I turn around. My dad is standing behind me. His appearance is scary. He was probably working in the backyard with sculpting or something. His jeans have red splatters on them and his shirt has red and black smudges and spits on it.

"Uh, dad this is Nash. He is one of my friends from school." I say. My dad walks to Nash with a smile on his face. Him and my dad are the same height, 6' 7" or 8". I feel like a midget when I am with them, being my 5' self.

"Nice to meet you," my dad says and turns to me, "I am going to the art supply store. Your mom went to a home school meet up with Gavin. I'll be back soon." He kisses the top of my head and walks out the door.

"Come on in." I say with an arm gesture. He walks in and I close the front door. "What's up?" He asks.

"Are you coming to Magcon?" he asks.

"Yeah, why?"

"Uh, I need to talk to you about Shawn." He says. I furrow my eye brows and we both sit down on the couch.
