School Dreams

Light's POV:
Justin had a basketball game last night so I was up pretty late. And I had school the next day. Lovely. I was currently doing my hair in the mirror and Summer offered to drive me to school since I was tired, I gladly accepted. I stepped out of the car as I arrived and someone slapped my back. Rocky smirked as she stepped in front of me. "So, I haven't seen you in a while." She said. Rex walked over and put his arm around my neck, which I removed. "Rumor has it that you and Mia are together? Is that true?" Rex said. I sighed and said "I think so. I would assume so." Rocky shook her head and said "you're whipped for her." I nodded in response and Rex said "what's up with you? You seem down." "I'm tired. I didn't sleep last night." I replied irately. Rocky put her hands up in defense and said "hey, no need to be rude." "Why didn't you sleep?" Rex said. "Cause Justin had a basketball game. And I was out late and stuff." I said. Rocky patted my shoulder and said "if you're tired you could always go to the nurse. Sleep there." I shrugged and said "maybe. But I think I'm just gonna go to class." The two of them nodded and we headed to class. Mia grabbed my arm and said "hey." "Hey." She leaned against the lockers and I sighed. "You ok? You seem tired." She said. I rubbed my eyes and said "I'm so tired. I didn't sleep last night and obviously not for a couple of nights now." Mia rubbed my arm and said "Light, you'll be fine." I sighed and she cupped my cheek, kissing my lips. I furrowed my eyebrows and she said "what?" "You kissed me." Mia smiled and said "of course. Cause I want too. I want us to be together." "R-really? I didn't know you wanted-" Mia cut me off by kissing me. Our lips moved in sync and she pulled away. "Come on." She said. I walked into the classroom, where the teacher was giving a lecture. This was English class, a class I usually paid attention in. But today I was unbelievably tired. As she went on about what book we were going to read next, my eyes began to droop. I caught myself falling asleep and I inhaled and exhaled. Mia sat across the room and she mouthed "you ok?" I nodded in response and Rex sat next to me. "Bro, this book is fucking dumb." I looked at the book on my desk and said "Cujo. Nice one." Rex rolled his eyes and said "a book about a killer dog? That's stupid." I rolled my eyes and our teacher continued to lecture on about it. Rocky was giggling at something Rex had said and I began flipping through the book, my eyes reading over some of the chapters. My eyes got droopy again and I began falling asleep. I opened my eyes and used my hand to prop my head up, a sigh escaping my lips. A dog sat in the doorway, foam dripping from it's mouth. "Rex. Do you see that?" I said. My teacher continued to go on with the lecture and nobody seemed to notice the dog in the doorway of the classroom. "Shit. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up." I muttered to myself. Nothing was working. The dog came towards me and barked. I jumped and looked around. "Mia! Mia!" I called to her. Mia chewed on a piece of gum that she had and I turned back to the dog. "Go away." I said to myself, hoping the dog would disappear. The room got dark and fear was beginning to set in. I gulped and Freddy appeared in front of me, a small beam of light shining on him. "Light, how nice to see you. I was just waiting for you to fall asleep. And now here you are." "I'll wake up. They'll wake me up." Freddy looked to Rocky and Rex and said "are ya sure? They seem oblivious that you're asleep." Freddy showed me my sleeping body and my eyes widened. He was no longer in front of me, I couldn't see where he was since the room got dark once again. "Now, when you wake up, you'll have an injury. And it'll hurt like a bitch." Freddy said. "Wait. What?" Freddy punched me in the side once, then twice. Then my gut, three to four punches. I felt Freddy grab the back of my head, slamming it into my desk below me. I could feel the pain spread across my face, begging Freddy not to do it again. "Please, please, please. Don't." A chuckle came from him and he did it again, this time I could feel the bones in my nose cracking and my lip began to throb. Now I was awake, everyone in the classroom stared at me. Rex looked at me like I was a freak and Mia knew exactly what had happened. She covered her face as she tried not to cry. "Mr. Borgens, you're bleeding." My teacher said. I nodded and said "I'll go to the nurse, ok?" She nodded and Rex said "I'll go with him. To make sure he gets there." She nodded again and Rex and I left the room. "I'm taking you home. Oh shit, your nose." I felt the blood dripping out of my nose, onto my shirt. I went into the bathroom and snapped my nose back into place. I gasped in pain and Rex said "dude. That was insane. There's no way I could've done that to myself." I didn't even bother to grab tissue, leaving the bathroom. Rex walked me to his car and I threw my backpack inside. Rex started up his car and began driving me to my house. I groaned and held my side and stomach, small tears forming in my eyes. "I really hope your sister is home. If she's not, I don't know what to do with you." Rex said. I nodded in response and said "she'll be there." "If you say so."

He pulled up in the driveway and ran up to the door. Summer came out and her eyes widened at me. "What happened?" "Freddy." I said as I stumbled out of the car. Rex closed the passenger car door and said "I'll bring Mia around later. See ya." He got in his car and drove off. My sister took me inside to clean me up and she said "was your nose broken?" I nodded and said "I fixed it." "Then you should be fine. I'm just gonna put something over it to stop the bleeding." She wrapped me up and made sure everything was good. Summer kissed the top of my head and hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her and said "you don't understand how scary it was. He punched me and slammed my face into that desk." Summer pulled away and I lifted my shirt to show her the small bruises that were forming. She ran a hand through her curly hair and said "my god." "Stay home for a few days. Ok? Don't go back." I nodded and she sat down next to me. I leaned my head on her shoulder and she wrapped her arms around me, holding me tightly. "We need to stop him." I said softly. "We will."
