Lost at Last (Eren Jaeger)

No going back.

Thea heard the bell ring from outside, alarming everyone that dinner was over. She was one of the first people to stand up and leave the mess hall, only to find Jean staring gloomingly towards Eren and Mikasa. As Connie was passing by, Jean wiped his hand on his clothes,

"What the hell? What did you wipe on me!"

"Don't worry just my trust."

"That's a bit dramatic." Thea noted, Connie stopped trying to reach out to where Jean had wiped and horse face looked towards Thea, "It's not like you had a chance to begin with." She joked, giggling to herself. Jean rolled his eyes due to her remark and let out a deep sigh, before he could retort back, Thea had already excused herself to her cabin.

Upon entering her cabin for the second time that day, she quickly found the bed she had placed her bags on before she left to the training grounds. She made sure to had taken the bottom bunk since she was so desperately afraid of falling from the top bed.

When she saw who was above her Thea was surprised. The stone cold raven-haired girls red scarf laid on top of the top bunk and Thea instantly knew to whom it belonged to. She heard the cabin door open from behind her and she quickly glanced behind her. Mikasa.

Thea astonished to even say a word remained silent, she quickly gathered sleeping clothes from her bags and a towel and headed towards the bathrooms outside, where she ran into a familiar bowl-cut blonde boy.

'Are you kidding.'

Surprised to see Thea, Armin's eyes widened and he let out a stutter before finally being able to muster up the letters to form the name he was searching for, "Thea?"

'Yeah, it's me, don't cream your pants.'

"H-Hi Armin.." Thea greeted awkwardly, waving at him and closing her eyes. A drop of sweat rolling down her neck all the way down to her lower back before being absorbed by her skin.

"I didn't believe it was really you!" He exclaimed excitedly, taking large steps towards the blonde female, which instinctively caused the blonde girl to take a few steps backwards.

"Well," Thea started, letting out an awkward and fake chuckle, "it's me.."

Armin noticed the space Thea had put between them and respected the space she wished for because he didn't try to close the couple feet that were in front of them already. "Well.. how have you been?" He asked, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly.

"I've been doing."

"Cool.. uh, me too."

"Epic."

Seeing how quickly the interaction was becoming awkward, Thea excused herself to the bathroom to change and headed back to her dorm. Doing her best to ignore the stare of the onyx-haired girl on the top bunk.

'I'm never gonna catch a break am I?'

Thea woke up a bit earlier than everybody and begun getting ready for the day, once she was fully clothed, that was when everyone else begun to wake up. Many of her fellow cadets asked how in the world she was able to be up so early, which she simply replied with, "Early bird, gets the worm." following along with a cheeky smile.

A couple hours passed since Thea woke up and now she as well as the rest of the cadets stood in front of Hades, who was getting ready to test them in 3D Maneuvering Gear.

"First, we'll evaluate what you have." Shadis announced, "Anyone unable to do this can't even serve as a decoy!"

Thea's stare hardened, this test would determine if she would be of any use in the battlefield.
