Thea and her squad, that consulted of: Armin, Thomas, Mina, and Eren stood on top of a house staring at the breached gate. Thea couldn't help but to wonder how long until the Armored Titan showed up, but it's been hours and no track of it yet. So perhaps it won't make an appearance.
The blonde girl wouldn't say it out loud, but she was glad she was placed in the same team as Mina. Ever since the days with her in camp, she had grown a fond attachment to the girl. Always hanging around her, making sure she's alright, giving Mina some of her food if she was still hungry. It was perhaps something she's never done with someone, and sometimes at night. She'll have dreams of the living in a world where they live in a nice cabin outside of trost district, away from everyone. Just the two of them. Seeking to protect her was something she strived towards. But, Thea was too weak to protect anybody, and too afraid to fight a Titan.
"Hey, Thea." Minas voice broke the blonde-haired girl from a trance she didn't even know she was placed in. "Maybe after we're done here, we can hang out as a celebration!" Thea's cheeks reddened as her heart began pulsing very frantically.
"Y-Yea! Of course."
Mina walked away from Thea and towards Eren and a Armin, with the blonde haired girl following suit. "Just to be clear," Mina started, gaining the two friends attention, "a lot of people want to join the Survey Corps this time around."
"You got the best of me earlier, but not anymore." Thomas stated towards Eren.
Eren smirked, "You think so, Thomas?" he replied.
"Lets see who kills the most Titans." Thomas statement ran a chill up Thea's spine, she had a bad gut feeling.
"Don't pad your numbers..." Eren responded very arrogantly.
"Team 34, advance! Support the vanguard!"
Thea peaked towards Mina to see how she was feeling, but much to her surprise the girl she had come to find over was staring at Eren. This making her stomach drop further down then it already was.
"Okay, let's go!" Thea quickly shook off the feeling when Eren shouted those words as she whirred into battle, letting a war-like cry escape her throat.
Thea flew through the spaces between houses and ran on the roofs of the destroyed homes as her team rushed to support the vanguard. Her blonde hair flying behind her and her bangs flipping upwards. This sensation of flying was exhilarating, but knowing what it was she was heading towards took away the excitement.
All it took was one.
It only took one Titan that Thea had spotted to ruin her parade. Her cold running icy and her hands shaking as she held her blades.
But it also only took one glance at Mina for her courage to return.
"Look at all those Titans!" Thea could hear Mina exclaiming. She also heard Thomas day something but she didn't really try to focus on his voice through the sound of the wind. But she was able to hear Eren's booming voice.
"An Aberrant!" If it hadn't been for Eren, Thea wouldn't have stopped on top of a roof in time and would've most definitely become Titan lunch.
Thea watched the Aberrant bear-hug a tower for a second before it moved its gigantic head to show them his face. But, all Team 34 could focus on was their companion that was currently in the mouth of the Titan.
Thomas, shaking as half his body sticked out of the Titans mouth. Pure horror and fear laying on his face, as if he was in disbelief.
All of them watched, feeling further more helpless than before. Even if they managed to kill the Titan, Thomas was already in half.
