From a distance, Thea could hear Connie attempting to wake up Armin who had previously fainted after witnessing his best friend be eaten. She couldn't blame him, the sight was mortifying. As Armin came to, for a second he was unaware of the events occurring around him.

"Are you hurt? Where's the rest of your team besides Thea?" Connie questioned Armin since Thea refused to even speak to anyone when they had arrived. "Get a hold of yourself, man. Why are you two alone? And what's this weird slime on you?"

Thea furrowed her head further into her knees when she heard the word alone.

'That's right... alone...'

Armin stared up at Connor until the events that occurred earlier finally flooded back into his brain, which caused a scream of agony to escape from him. Thea just stared as Armin shouted curses at himself, not having the energy to help. "Calm down, Armin! Where is everyone?" With that question enough, Armins screams stopped.

"That's enough, Connie." Thea heard Ymir from beside them, "They were all wiped out... All except for those two."

The blonde haired girl scowled at her phrasing but stayed silent, because no matter how much she hated it. It was true, and Thea allowed it to be true.

"Shut up! Armin didn't say anything about that and Thea wouldn't even allow anything to happen to Mina!-"

"It's true." Thea interrupted, finally speaking since she had first arrived. Her words lingered on in the air for a moment as Connie took in the information.

"Look around you, we don't have anymore time to waste on them." Ymir started again, her voice cold and her words stinging like thorns, "It's unfortunate that they ran into multiple Titans. What a shame that only these losers survived instead of Eren and the others."

"Want me time shut that mouth forever, bitch?!"

Krista intervened in between the two butting heads before it could escalate further, "Stop it, both of you!" She started, "No ones thinking straight... Our friends are dying so fast." Thea couldn't help but to hold her knees together tightly when Krista said that. The horrid sight of two people she held dear made her twisted her stomach. Their deaths were undeserved. "It would freak anyone out! Imagine how Thea and Armin must feel right now..."

"That's my Krista." Ymir stated, swinging her arm across Kristas shoulder, "Once this operation ends, marry me!" she finished and broke into a laugh.

"Sure..." Connie started, his words slightly being drowned out by Ymir's laughter, "Her antics are even more off the charts than usual." He then looked towards Armin and then towards Thea, who both just sat and stared at the floor.

Armins expression was far different than Thea's, he held a shocked expression filled with disbelief and heartbreak while Thea sat alone looking cold and shattered. "Anyways, we can't leave you guys here. Can you both stand?"

Thea watched Armin stand up as he finally got himself together. But if the blonde girl was being truly honest with herself, she didn't know if she could muster up the bravery to stand up again. Her body rejected her orders to get up and fight, because if she fought. She'd witness more friends dying such gruesome deaths.

"Sorry for causing trouble." Apologized Armin and walked past Connie, "I'll go meet up with the rearguard." Connie tried to stop Armin but he was already zipping away from the rooftop.

Connie then turned to Thea, "What about you? You're one of our strongest. Even if you didn't make the Top Ten." He stated, putting his hand out for Thea to grab and stand up.

Thea's eyes began to well up as she remembered how Mina threw a fit on how Thea should've been in the top ten. Spewing things that Thea could beat Annie or Mikasa without fail, all statements that the blonde laughed at and called Mina crazy for. The blonde let a singular tear fall from her eye before grasping Connies hand and lifting herself to her feet.
