"You ready?" Karina asked,

"A little nervous, I haven't done anything like this before." I wore the relatively heavy claw,
Natalia must be a powerhouse if she can run around with his thing in her hand.

"You'll be okay, I bet everyone will be confused."

"I guess..."

We were currently warming up for the
one vs one battles using the claws and hoods Natalia ordered from Dexter's. This was my first competition of the year, which meant I had to make it count. I remember Estes telling me one time that when you win your first battle of the year, it's almost like a sign you'll win everything other battle in the future.

"Hey guys." Fanny panted, "I...I sprinted here. I forgot class started here."

"Why didn't you use your cables?" I asked,

"I wanted to try something new, but you know it never works out because I just realized how unfit I am." Fanny sighed,

"I think you're pretty fit, Fanny. You have enough strength to throw yourself all over the place."

"It's just your legs, maybe you should run more often, it might help you." Karina laughed,

"I didn't think running was this difficult."
she fell to her knees, "Whew, I'm tired."

"Hey Vance."

"Hey." I smiled,

"Are you ready?" He asked, running his
hand through his hair.

"Yeah, I'm a little nervous though."

"You'll be okay."

"I hope so, are you ready?" I asked,

"I'm more than ready."

"Oh really? Even for our other competition today after school?" I crossed my arms,
"Who's going first?"

"Well, as a man I say that ladies go first. Also so that I'll be the one getting entertained first by your failure." he snickered,

"Or maybe I'll get the last laugh, you're going down Paxley."

"Yeah? We'll see about that, Vance." Gusion said as he put in his hood, afterwards he wore a silver coloured claw on his right hand.

"This claw is pretty cool." Gusion said,
"Doesn't compared to my daggers."
"I think a wolverine claw is better than a
couple of stupid daggers:"

"Eh, I have to disagree with you there."he said, "I think I rely on daggers more than anything else. It's weird since Martis gave me new ones but I don't feel any different personally."

"Do you.... rely on people?" I asked,

"Sometimes, I remember thinking I could survive all on my own. That I didn't need to rely on anyone. Now I know that I'm wrong, I really do need people with me."
