" I defeat my enemies
when I make them my friends. "

"It has taken us several months to prepare for such an event. An event that many of you, hopefully all of you, have worked hard for. Welcome MLU, to the Championship Tournament." Professora said, standing behind a podium. Normally Professor Diggie would do these sorts of announcements but... it's obvious why she took over instead.

"You should all know how this works, but for those first year students joining us, the CT is divided into four rounds; team, trio, duos, and a grand final round with your full team. Teams are matched up carefully depending on skill, history, team members, and other factors to help even out the battles as much as possible."

"In the first round your entire team competes against another full team. You have two requirements to move on; you must not only win the battle, but you must have an overall team score of at least thirty-five out of fifty."

"You are probably wondering, because this wasn't added into the CT last year, what I mean. Now this is the new addition of the pointing system. Every single student who battles on that stage is evaluated through precise technology, based on skills such as power, strategy and overall co-operation. They are given a mark out of ten. One being the lowest and ten being perfect. Your goal is to ensure that every single person on your team puts effort into winning, so that you can pass these first two rounds that are based on this system."

Angela suddenly nudged me in the shoulder, "Is there any wildcard round?" she asked,

I shook my head, "Not that I know of, have you had a wildcard round before?"

"Nope, but one of my friends back home did. She got the wildcard spot and won her competition."

I smiled, "That's pretty lucky."

"If you win your battle, you will select three team members to fight against another team of three. This round uses that same pointing system as well, but since there are only three of you and not five, so the passing score is now twenty-five out of thirty. If we were to calculate that into an actual grade, it would be an eighty-three percent. Wow, what a high number for many of the students I've taught."

"If you do win the trio round, you must keep in mind that the two leftover teammates must compete in the duos round. So please strategize well so that both rounds are balanced and equally powerful. The duos round is quite different from the last two, as it is not based on a passing score nor winning. It is based on being better than the other team, or other duo may I say."

"Being better than the other team? When did the CT become so pageant-like?" Paxley asked,

"How do you know when things are... pageant-like?" I cocked my head, my mouth forming a smirk as my boyfriend's cute little face goes red.

"Yeah Gusion, have you been to one before?" Angela asked,

"Or competed in one?" Saber chuckled,

"Psh... no..." Gusion shook his head, he wasn't facing us, he was just staring at the stage.

"He doesn't dance, he doesn't study, but he does have a weird taste in fashion." Martis said, as he and Saber began snickering.

"Fashion?" Angela's brow raised,

"Like style..." Martis said,

I giggled, "What style? The guy has one main colour."

Paxley rolled his eyes, "Hey, purple is a cool colour."
