"Lesley turn it the other way!" Harley whined, "The chandelier has to be on its good side."

"Harley it can't be on its good side when it looks the same on all sides!" I shouted as I attempted to turn the gold chandelier. Harley was holding onto the ladder I was trying to balance on.

"I know what I'm doing sis! Homecoming has to be perfect!" he said, "Ooh, I forgot the balloons, give me a second...."

"Alright let me just..." I began losing balance, I could feel the ladder beginning to wobble, "Harley hold onto the ladder--"

I looked down Harley was gone, where the fuck did he go? "Harley?! I'm going to fall!" I shouted, waving my hands in the air to try to keep my balance.

"Hang on sis! I forgot the pack of balloons!" I heard him say from who knows where.

"Harley, I'm going to fall--" I lost balance and fell off of the ladder, but instead of hitting the ground and possibly cracking my skull open--

"Caught you there Vance."

I looked up to see Gusion's face, his arms underneath my legs and back. I don't get how or why he was here, but I guess it's better than getting another injury.

"Thanks...." I muttered,

"It's nothing, I saw you up there, you looked like you needed some help." he chuckled,

Harley hit Gusion on the head with the pack of balloons, "Hey, hands off my sister!"

Gusion let me down to my feet, "Harley if I didn't catch your sister from falling, she would've had another concussion. At least this time it wouldn't be my fault."

I rolled my eyes, "He's not wrong."

"Whatever, just help me fill these balloons with helium." Harley said,

The three of us began blowing up balloons, most of which Paxley failed to tie. Lancelot and Odette were hanging up other decorations while Hylos and Estes were setting up tables and chairs. Nana and Selena were covering the tables with black table cloths and on top golden candlesticks. Martis was working the speakers and adjusting other things for the music. Karina and Saber were putting up streamers on the tops of the doorways leading to the cafeteria.

The entire cafeteria was nearly ready for Homecoming, and even though I still felt hurt from what Paxley said, I can't let that get to me. I was going to have the best night of my life, and nothing was going to stop that.

"Lesley, this dress is cute, right?" Odette held out a sleeveless short black dress with a fluffy skirt.

I nodded, "This is like the fifth time I told you. The first time was when we bought it, and that was last weekend."

"Just answer the question--"
