Wrapped up in Vik's jumper, Rose and Vik scrolled through Netflix in the lounge of the house, the boys off somewhere for the day.
"I mean, it's not like it meant anything, I was scared that's all!" Rose tried to persuade herself and Vik, having told Vik all about yesterday and her time with Simon.
"Simon wouldn't have stayed with you unless he wanted to, Ro," groaned Vik, trying to talk some sense into the girl, "He would've come and gotten me!"
Rose huffed and pulled the sleeves of Vik's jumper other her hands, forgetting all about Netflix as she turned to Vik.
"He never liked me, why would he start now?" she mumbled, and Vik felt bad instantly. Wrapping an arm around Rose, Vik sighed.
"He did like you near the end, the fucker just didn't know it yet," he joked awkwardly. Rose sighed, obviously not believing Vik, and leaned into her best friend.
"I don't like him, so nothing would've happened anyway," she grumbled but Vik knew better. There were some feelings you couldn't just wipe under the rug, feelings like the ones Simon and Rose shared.
"Just wait, you'll find someone worth waiting for," Vik told Rose, who smiled and turned back to the TV.
"What should we watch?"

Simon watched from a bench as most of the boys (minus Vik) played football, Cal having joined the group.
"Simon!" JJ yelled as he jogged over to his childhood best friend. Simon smiled at JJ as he arrived, the dark-skinned boy plopping himself on the bench next to Simon.
"You okay, mate?" JJ asked, wiping the sweat from his face. Simon nodded but didn't look convinced himself.
"Tell me everything," was all JJ said before Simon burst.
♕
"I think I still love her."
JJ sighed sadly as he watched Simon place his head in his hands, the blond having just poured his heart out to his best friend.
"You didn't love her once, you can do it again," said JJ, trying to encourage Simon into getting over Rose, but it made it worse.
"I hated her then! It was easy not to love her but now! Now, she's all I can think of!"
Simon grabbed his phone from his pocket and wasted no time in throwing it across the football pitch, landing in front of the boys playing.
"Simon! Calm down," JJ hissed as he gripped Simon's arms and held them to his chest, the blond not bothering to struggle.
"If Harry can get over her, so can you," said JJ reassuringly, trying to comfort Simon, who just huffed in response as the others walked over.
"This yours?" asked Cal as he chucked Simon his phone. Simon nodded and mumbled a thank you, picking up the phone.
Cal sighed as everyone gathered around Simon and JJ, confused.
"What's wrong?" Harry asked the pair, confused why Simon looked like he had been crying. He'd spoke at the wrong time.
"You don't get to know you twat!" Simon hissed, lunging forward, but JJ gripped the blond and struggled to keep him down, Harry stumbling backwards in shock.
"What the fuck?" Harry yelled after he'd regained his balance. Simon just swore under his breath, pulled away from JJ, and jumped off the bench, grabbing his stuff.
