"I was so wrong for so long

Only tryin' to please myself

Girl I was caught up in her lust

When I don't really want-"

"What are you singing?" Jimin appeared and plopped down beside his roommate with headphones. Taehyung slid them off his neck and looked at the other as he picked up his pencil.

"Was just having my break since my brain can't seem to process anything anymore." As he writes something on the paper he adds "I actually think it's melted. Is that possible?"

Jimin grinned in amusement as he let his head fall on the back of the couch, staring into space. "What were you listening to?" he asks again.

"'What'cha Say' by Jason Derulo," Taehyung answered. "It's a nice song. I think he's wanting another chance from his lover since he cheated I dunno."

A thoughtful hum vibrates in Jimin's throat as he processes the information. "But I'd recommend something else such as 'Will You Marry Me' by him too."

The other boy in blond stopped to consider it. "Is that a song asking for a hand in marriage?"

"Yup it's really sweet." Jimin lifted his head. "I feel like I'd actually sing it to my girlfriend." Taehyung looked over to him, shock written in his eyes. He didn't say anything about having a lover. So why is he telling him that he'd sing a song about marriage?

He opened his mouth to speak. "Jimin-"

"But I don't have one!" he added cheekily.

Taehyung visibly sighed in relief. Then as punishment, he grabbed hold of Jimin's cheeks and pinched them hard, which made him yelp in pain. Only then did the younger one let go. Of course he had a consequence: he got a weak slap on the shoulder.

"What the hell was that for you idiot?" Jimin grumbled to himself as he rubbed his sore skin.

"Language you fool," Taehyung warned as he twirled his pencil with a sort of triumphant smirk.

"Yahh you too!" There was a beat of silence before "But really what was that for?"

Taehyung contemplated for a while. Should he say it or not? In the end he did speak his mind. "Don't scare me like that you idiot. Joking about a nonexistent girlfriend... gave me a heart attack for sure since I know everything about you."

He was met with melodious loud laughter. "Don't tell me you were actually jealous!"

He whipped his head to look at him. "And what if I was?"

Jimin stopped to gaze into his eyes. "I'm sorry if I made you panic like that. But know that when someone does catch my eye you'll be the first to know. That's a promise."

At this he can't help the smile on his face. "You sure?" His response is a nod. "I'll take your word for it then. Now let's go out and eat some ramen!"

"Way ahead of you!" Jimin bounced up from the couch to quickly toe on his shoes. Taehyung hurried to race to the door and just like that, they ran toward the ramen house they frequented.

Jimin had a pencil stuck in his teeth as he tried to memorize for his upcoming exam in the next two days. His roommate wasn't home since he's having a late night with his music band. On schedules like these Jimin always expects him to arrive no later than 11:30pm. It was now 11:15. He waits.

And falls asleep.

He woke up in a bed, groggy eyes trying to take in everything. He was still feeling disoriented, and there was a slight ache in his head.
