A pout makes its way to Taehyung's full pink lips. He gazes longingly at the back of his once seatmate. He's so far away!

He was seated near the aisle, where the teacher could walk in the middle. Two seats up then two seats to the right, close to the wall where the fan blew away the hair of students. That was where his beloved seatmate now sat. They were so far!

Sure he may be exaggerating but that boy with the gray hair is his best seatmate, even if the school year had just started. Park Jimin was his name.

And- oh look he looked back. Taehyung immediately waved with a wide smile on his face. Jimin did the same as him. Taehyung could almost feel that Jimin missed him too. Maybe such was the case. He honestly wouldn't be surprised.

Jimin turned back to look at the board. A sad pout graced his full lips. He missed that crazy kid. He's known him for two and a half months when his adviser suddenly had the whim to change seating arrangements. He remembered how they held each other tight, afraid to be separated. Yet they were. Oh how cruel fate is.

His new seatmate was a boy named Jonwoo. So quiet and very studious. Oh sure he may be the ideal type for a seatmate but Jimin personally preferred that other kid with the rectangular smile and the funny faces. Yeah Taehyung. Ugh can he send a note? The teacher might see their letters. Maybe later.

Bell rings for break and immediately Taehyung is by his side as he packs his things. Jimin almost got a heart attack at the sudden appearance but seeing who it was made him shoot a pleasant smile his way.

"Hey there seatmate," Jimin greeted as the pair walk out the classroom, leaving the president Jungkook to shout at their careless backs. Something about the door or the homework they didn't care.

Taehyung still had that smile as he made to open his can of soda. "I know it's weird but I missed you."

"I miss you too if that's even weirder."

They giggle and head to the canteen, where the bustle of students and teachers alike are felt and heard.

They veer mindless people and ignore chatty girls who gossip about unimportant matters. They swerve two teachers who teach them different subjects currently and bow at the gym teacher whom they respect greatly.

"It's so weird not being able to talk to you," Taehyung began as they sit on an empty spot. Across him the other starts to eat his sandwich.

He nods in agreement. "Yes. I had to listen to the lesson for once. I have to admit, I almost fell asleep."

The deep rich laugh of Taehyung flits out his mouth. "Yeah cuz I always pinch you awake."

"Yeah. I missed that too."

The younger one sighed dramatically. "I miss everything about you! But our teacher won't allow us to sit beside each other!"

Jimin shrugged. "Well a lot of our teachers complained about our rowdiness."

"Ugh that's their problem! Why can't they let us be?"

The shorter one patted Taehyung's hand in comfort and reassurance. "Don't worry we can still talk all the time."

He met his eyes. "But it'd be better if we were actually beside each other, no space. Just personal."

Jimin laughed at his seatmate's use of words. He never failed to make him laugh, honestly.

"Ahh never mind the distance. I was actually planning to send you a note."

Tae's ears perk at that. "So why didn't you?"
